Sams's Southern Eatery — Restaurant in Brownwood

I go to Sam’s at least once a month I’ve never had a bad experience even when I accidentally placed the wrong order one time the owner was kind about having to fix it and refund me money which I declined. Most of the cashiers are sweet and high school kiddos but today there was a new cashier I’ve never noticed also younger but different than the other cashiers in the past neither bad but the type of cashier I needed today lol. I haven’t gone in about a month so i don’t know how new he is or if I just missed him last time anyways he was very confident about his job in a respectful way compared to the other cashiers and more friendly, not knowing I was having a bad day already because of another experience with another restaurant on my kiddos food, he started off by giving my car a compliment and then he had a couple jokes handing my food and getting me my extra condiments and it was really kind and just kind of reminded me I need to calm down about what I was upset over and it was a breath of fresh air I needed in that moment. Absolutely loved this place! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. The seafood here is on another level — incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The grilled shrimp was juicy and smoky, and the fish just melted in my mouth. Even the sides were excellent, especially the fried okra and coleslaw.

The staff were super friendly and professional, and they made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. It’s rare to find a place where the food, service, and atmosphere all come together so perfectly.

This is hands down the best seafood restaurant in Brownwood, Texas. I’ll definitely be coming back again, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and great service. Don’t miss...

Update2: Don't get shrimp poor boy. You only get about 4 shrimp! UPDATE: I finally made my way back to this restaurant. I must say that they have improved a lot since my first visit, recorded below. The food is better and the service is certainly better. Was glad I went back. The prices have not changed much, which means they are now competitive with other restaurant prices in the area. FIRST VISIT: Mediocre food which took to long to serve. 2 shrimp salads and 2 iced tea over $30 . I would suggest y'all to give them a try and see if it's better for you.
