We LOVE Bryson City! We love the mountains and this town! Bryson City Outdoors not only has a wide selection in gear they offer services to aide in your outdoor experience while in Bryson City. Last year my best friend and I wanted to take a shot at SUP for the first time. They have a team member that drives to Fontana Lake with the boards and you can rent one from them. This service was great b/c we didn’t have to worry about finding a way of getting the boards to the location...meet, rent, ride, return...awesome! (not required but, gift the team member with a tip, if you can). On our way there we got turned around so, we called the store for directions...Liz answered and was very helpful in getting us redirected and where we needed to be. She & I, also, ate outside the store from one of the several different food trucks they regularly have. My husband and I stopped in the store this trip. Brett & another employee were working. They were welcoming, kind & generous. The store is well laid out and chock full of popular name brand outdoor merchandise, walls of great t-shirts & trucker hats and a fav of mine, stickers! They even carry hand poured soy candles (made by Modern Forestry) with several scents made for the outdoor enthusiasts. Bryson City Outdoors (BCO) is more than just your outdoor store it’s a hub in this great community to bring its members & visitors together. Thank you BCO for ALL you do! Until next...

Bryson City NC is a small beautiful little mountain town. There is so much to do there. The quaint little shops and the restaurants are a perfect layover while you are waiting to board the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad. And don't forget that this is a Trout Fishing Destination. The Tuckaseegee River runs through it! And the NC Wildlife Commission keeps the river stocked with Rainbow, Brown, and Brook Trout. The Tuckaseegee Fly Shop is there and will show you how to and where the best fishing is. In addition to the Downtown there are several hiking trails nearby. The Road To NoWhere, and Deep Creek National Park has awesome trails. Camping 🏕 and horseback riding is also available. Or you can rent a Tube and Float down the Deep Creek Stream. It's a good hike up to the Putin point so be ready. Just down the road is the NOC on the Nantahala River with top class Kayaking and River Rafting. So much to do so you had better Rent a Cabin and Stay A...

I very rarely handout five stars but this place was pretty cool. Located right next to the Cherokee visitor center which is very convenient as you can stop in both places at one time. I had met Jeremy the trail boss at fire Mountain mountain bike trails and he told me about this place. Said I could get food at the food truck and a nice cold beverage and a beer inside as well as bicycle gear and other outfitting accoutrements. This place is also dog friendly so bring your pup in with you. A nice patio out behind the shop that overlooks the River. So head out here with your beer and your Chow and enjoy the view. And if you got really hot for mountain biking there's a little trail that will take you right into the river we can cool off and invigorate yourself. Also right across the street is the veterans Park which was really cool. Some old artillery guns as well as a tank. So go visit Bryson City outdoors it is...

I lived this place! We were on vacation for a week and we went there 3 times. Trying different beers and enjoying the food truck food. Great atmosphere and dog friendly. We will Definitely go back!

★★★★★ Bryson City Outdoors – Great Beer, Great Atmosphere This place is a total vibe. Bryson City Outdoors has one of the best craft beer selections in the area—local favorites, regional gems, and always something new on tap. Whether you’re into IPAs, lagers, sours, or something seasonal, there’s a pour for every palate. The atmosphere is what really makes it stand out. Super chill, welcoming, and full of that mountain-town energy. The outdoor patio is perfect—plenty of space, great music, and usually a mix of locals and visitors just enjoying the day. It’s the kind of place where you want to stay for a second round. Or third. Great beer. Great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
