Wize Guyz Grille — Restaurant in Bryson City

My pizza was amazing... when it finally hit the table. I had to watch the rest of my table eat their meal. I didn't receive my order til my table was around 2/3 of the way finished. Make sure to get there early if you want meatballs. Ran out of meatballs tonight, so one person settled for a silver medal. Also, make sure you check on your ticket in the window. Placed a ToGo order before the end of our meal, the ticket never reached the window. Stood in front of the register for about 5 min before someone even asked if I needed any help during this process while watching others be serviced. With the promise of expedition, we waited til all other tickets were out of the window, roughly around 6 or so; asked again, and received a retort from the kitchen asking what I was waiting on. The only joyful part of the experience was our bartender. Definitely earned the tip that that the kitchen/wait staff did not. As someone who works in food service, you're making us look bad with this type...

Average menu, nothing exciting. Had my partner say “it’s food” Got the French dip and the pickle fries, and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Pickle fries were ok, the French dip was alright, it was pretty much just cheese and roast beef on a bun with au jus. The pickle fries were ok, seemed to be left in the fryer a bit too long as the pickles got over cooked and slightly burnt. Buffalo chicken sandwich was ok, had a thin slice of tomato and a sad piece of lettuce with mayo on a bun. None of the sandwiches come with a side so you have to pay extra for fries or something else off the appetizer section of the menu which everything was overpriced. Honestly would not come back. The wall dividers in the room didn’t seem to make much sense. Had a sever touch the table after we paid at the count and had already received our food, so I guess there’s that. It’ll catch the tourists which is probably what will keep them...

We were there on our last night in the mountains. Unfortunately, after we got in, there came a really bad storm. As we were ordering the power went out. The employees walked around ecstatically happy that they were going to get to go home early. One even Drop the F bomb in front of my daughter. I understand you might’ve been ready to go home, but there was a big group of us that were hungry and wanted to eat. If you’re not enjoy your job, get a different one. Or at least be ecstatic in the back and not around the people who were trying to eat there. I would hope under better circumstances their customer service would be a whole lot better but I was not impressed that night. I will say that one employee was nice enough to go back and drop some french fries so my grandson could have...
