Without exaggeration, my visit to Sushi Fuji was the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. It's a poorly run business that insults its customers and, all in all, has no class or basic manners.
In summary: Charged us for two sushi orders we NEVER received. Caused a scene when we (calmly) attempted to explain the situation. Called us "cheaters" and yelled at us to never come back.
I came with my boyfriend, his mother, grandmother and sister. Cheaters? Yeah, we're serial order-food-eat-it-hide-the-plate-pretend-we-never-received it cheaters. Seriously, who even does that? We certainly didn't but we were outrightly accused of doing so by Sushi Fuji.
The sushi we did receive was mediocre, burned scallops on our scallop rolls, burned salmon on our salmon rolls, and loosely held together alaskan rolls. When we asked our heavily accented waitress when our crunch roll and shrimp tempura rolls would arrive we were met with a negative attitude accusing us that they had already come. There were five of us at the table who testify that we never received the sushi. In the end, those two orders were still on our bill and they caused a big scene in their own restaurant in front of many other patrons.
Good or bad, I'll definitely pay for food I order and receive. That's not a problem at all. It becomes a problem when I'm being charged for food I never get. On top of that, to be disrespected about the whole ordeal? I'll pass thxverymuch.
All in all, a bad experience that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Skip Sushi Fuji, there are much better restaurants (sushi and non) all...

Went to Fujiya for the first time with a friend for lunch. Seated immediately. I ordered the 5pc sushi combo with spider roll, she ordered the chicken lunch special with shrimp & tempura add on. My meal came out first in about 10 minutes, and I waited until her meal came out to start.
And waited. And waited.
Then we see it come out, go to one table, sit at another table only for the person to tell the server he didn't order that...then back into the kitchen.
No one checked on us, no one asked why I hadn't touched my meal, no eye contact with us in general. The meal eventually hits our table, and it's cold. Soup is also cold. At this point one has to assume we were re-served the same meal. This is a cardinal sin in a kitchen. Why wasn't it tossed, especially in our current climate? We get the attention of a server, explain the situation, and make the reasonable ask for this to be remade to go. We're at 45 minutes later at this point. We were then asked if we would like the check before the food even arrived.
Check shows up, full price for both meals. I'll gladly pay for mine, but this is absurd. Not wanting to make a big deal of it (after the surounding tables were already fully aware and commented on our situation), I go inside to talk to someone. The other meal was removed & I was still waiting for it to come out.
Insult to injury here: finally get the meal, we go back to eat at home, open everything up, and the upcharged tempura and shrimp were nowhere to be...
Read moreDude, this place has been around forever! I want to say they have extended the restaurant. Wonder if Yelp caps a place? Oldest post seemed to be 3 years ago but like I said they’ve been here for more than 20 years – probably changed hands a few times but nice to know they made it through the Pandemic with outdoor seating! Came during lunch, Carl was our server, he was very attentive to our needs, to be fair we were the only ones there but he and Raymond were nice to check in every so often… a few tables were taken after 10 mins.
Ordered LS (Lunch Special) Fujiya Deluxe with the rainbow roll; 5pcs nigiri (salmon, tuna, seared albacore, yellow tail and seared tuna) it was a nice touch of omokase when the chef added eel instead! Also, comes with miso soup and house salad 5/5 – Great flavor, fish was very fresh. Tried two of the nigri’s without soy and it was so flavorful! Shrimp and veggie tempura bento box – served with rice, miso soup and house salad 5/5 – Great portion, tempura came out hot and crispy! Miso soup and house salad delish! They do offer a palm deluxe but for another $3 for an upgrade you actually get premium rolls which...
