Please follow us at SNDTravels on Facebook and Instagram. Update! 9.4.20 Back again for maybe the fourth time and once again we were not disappointed. We didn't get pictures because we dove right in and didn't think about it until it was to late. Mom had the senior salad with fried chicken and she loved it. Romaine lettuce was crisp and the chicken was tender and crispy as well. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with cheese and the steak was as good as I have had, and I have tried thousands. The meat was so tender there was almost no resistance biting through the sandwich. The potato bun made a real good addition. Diane had the fried catfish and loved the flavor and the portion size of fish was filling. She also has onion rings and mentioned that the fish and rings were great tasting but could have been cooked just a hair longer to make them crisper. Mom and I both had the homemade potato chips which we love and they were great as always. Once again highly recommended and this time three-thumbs up. 👍👍👍 First review. So its been a long time since we've traveled but having to drive to Burleson for tractor parts we decided to check out a mom and pop restaurant in Old Town called The Porch. Still not eating inside because my mom is a high risk person we sat outside on, of course, the porch. Rachel our server was very kind and helpful as was everyone we encountered that was staff. Mom had a senior sized chicken fried steak with house made potato chips, Diane had the daily special which was fish tacos and I had the BLT with onion rings. We'll start out by saying that everything is handmade and hand battered including the taco shells and the hamburger buns. The senior size CFS was the size a lot of places serve as regular. The breading was seasoned well and the steak was exceptionally tender. The tacos shells were like a thin pita fried just crispy enough they were crunchy but soft enough they didn't break apart. Diane decided on grilled fish instead of fried and the piece of fish was the perfect size, flaky and tender. Both Mom and Diane had chips and they were crisp and good. Now for the only problem. When these two plates were brought out Rachel informed me that the kitchen had just said they were out of bacon. She apologized as the kitchen should have told her when the order was placed. I ordered the cheese burger with onion rings. The burger was decent size patty but very good and the homemade bun was a great addition. The onion rings were crispy and really really good. Overall the service was a little slow but the friendly atmosphere and awesome food made it worth while. We look forward to returning again when we are in the area. Three thumbs-up 👍👍👍.

UPDATE Valentine's Day Brunch 2023. I treated myself to The Best Valentine's gift today.... Brunch at my favorite The Porch. I ordered their Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and their green beans with a side salad and homemade rolls. Oh My Goodness...I ate the whole thing and Everything was Delicious!! I could go back tomorrow and order it all again. The flavor of the green beans with a lot of bacon and a little onion..sooo good. The chicken breast was outstanding with the lightest of crunchy breading. I love their side salads with ranch better than any other restaurant.. can't tell you why..they put some love in it 😊 That was Oustanding!! I always treat myself on holidays..I bring my own Happy into my life. All this for $10.81 plus tip...you can't find food this good for this price. Their service is outstanding too. The Porch is on my Favorite Burleson Restaurant List. Try the chicken fried steak....mmmm. Their onion rings you will dream about!! I also enjoy their sausage gravy and biscuits..try it.

Visited 8-9-25 We didnt know WHAT to expect, but it was all good. Welcomed as soon as we walked in, sat where we wanted, it wasn't busy, and waitresses were helping each other out. Fried pickles were very very crispy, were kinda salty, but the hot sauce took some of that away. I got the catfish and shrimp basket, with onion rings, hush puppies, and corn. Fried fish and grilled shrimp, both had an amazing taste. Onion rings were amazing, but maybe could have been fried a little longer. Wife had chicken fried chicken, cucumber salad, and potatoes and rolls (soft and delicious) Daughter had a club sammich with fries, she said it was good.. If I see on the menu anything "buffalo" i have to try the sauce. And I did get it and it didnt disappoint, it complimented the fried pickles and fish just fine.. I would definitely go back for breakfast.. Oh oh oh and for dessert I had a strawberry cheesecake and the wife had pecan pie.. 😋 😋😋😋😋😋

Our son was getting married at The Lone Star Mansion in Burleson. We were looking for a place with Burleson charm to have a rehearsal dinner. We came across this charming restaurant located in the heart of downtown Burleson. I knew we found our place after speaking to Angela, the manager . The owner , Fredy and Angela were so excited to accommodate our every need. They shut down early one evening and allowed us to transform the restaurant to a perfect mix of The Porch charm and lavender filled balloons, twinkling lights and pictures of the bride and groom to be every where you looked...It was Perfect!

Angela, Fredy and the entire staff were amazing to work with . The food was incredible! We had so many wonderful choices and everything was excellent! Most menu items are made from scratch , a real treat to eat !! We were allowed to bring in our own drinks !

Fredy and Angela went above and beyond to make sure we had a spectacular evening. We will never forget our special night at The Porch in Burleson.

It's a family place , incredible food , great people , great service .... But Don't Forget:

If your planning a party : for graduation, a wedding , a rehearsal dinner, a birthday, an office party .... THE PORCH IS THE...
