Awful experience. My friend and I decided to try this place because it’s new and had some decent reviews, but it ended up being a huge mistake. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, soup dumplings, and one of the dumpling dishes—everything was terrible. The Dan Dan noodles didn’t taste anything like they should, just bland and weird, and the portion was super small. The soup dumplings had a really strong, gamey smell and taste. We couldn’t even finish them. The other dumplings we got tasted like cheap frozen dumplings you’d buy at the grocery store—nothing fresh about them at all.
And then, on the way home, we both started feeling sick. By the time we got back, we were coughing and throwing up. No idea what was wrong with the food, but something was definitely not clean or safe to eat.
The service was just as bad. There were servers standing around chatting with each other the whole time, completely ignoring us. We had to raise our hands and try to get their attention four times before anyone finally came over so we could order.
Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We’re never going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreI've been a few times now and the food has honestly been really great. The flavors are nostalgic to me and the food tastes like it is prepared with fresh ingredients. Everyday, you will see the employees wrapping dumplings behind the bar, which shows that the dumplings being served are made in house.
I usually order the Spicy Xiao Long Bao, the Three Flavor Dumplings, or the Wontons in Chili Oil (Sichuan Hot and Spicy Dumplings) whenever I go in for lunch and dinner.
I've also had their Dan Dan Noodles and the Stir Fried Sting Beans and the flavors were great. The Pan Fried Buns are super hot when they come out of the kitchen, which makes them hard to eat initially, but the soup in the buns is so flavorful.
Also, the chili oil they have at the table, while not spicy, is incredibly fragrant and so good

Read moreFinally a great dumpling restaurant in Burlingame! What a treat! The dumplings were freshly made and delicious; I haven't had soup dumplings this good since I've been in Taipei - so tasty. We ate traditional dumplings like the seafood and shrimp ones which were really really good. Never have I seen a Mapo Tofu one before - it was great.Had the pan fried version of the vegetarian dumpling - was like a fresh pot sticker - so tasty. Didn't try the noodles or the scallion pancakes but watched them go by to our neighbors in the restaurant and desperately wanted them. The ship and okra also looked really good as well. Didn't have a bad dish at all. The staff was really friendly and helpful - just a great experience all around. Go now because in three months, it's going to take a month to get a reservation...
