Dame Fine Coffee — Restaurant in Burlington

First timer in Burlington, first timer at a Dame’s.

I had a caramel macchiato. It was good!

So they do sweet drinks with espresso, sweet energy drinks, and sweet teas. It’s a dessert drink place.

My go to when I visit a new coffee place is cappuccinos which they offered, but I didn’t go for it because I made a judgement call. I was afraid I wouldn’t like it. that was the only “classical” type of coffee drink they had. Everything else was dessert drinks that happened to use espresso.

“Coffee” could be misleading because it’s not the kind of coffee place I would frequent. Like 392 cafe of Davenport. Dash coffee of Cedar Rapids, or sidecar of Waterloo/cedar falls. I’d call those “proper” American coffee spots.

EDIT! Made a wrong assumption. Thanks for writing back owner. I did not see, cold brew, and plain coffee advertised on your website, or here on Google. I’ll ask for one or all of them sometime next week. Especially the cappuccino.

EDIT 2 7/10/23 bought their cappuccino. A small comes in about a 16oz cup. A cappuccino is never 16oz… I’ll use it as milk for my overnight oats…

This is a sub-genre within the coffee/cafe business scene. Akin to a scooters franchise but not at that level. Yet.

They use country club coffee, a local/wholesale distributor based out of Davenport Iowa, which is cool. Never heard of them till I looked them up now for this review.

If you want something fun and sweet...

My second time coming here and getting a drink. The insidious is so good. I tried the Emerald City, which you see pictured here. It is very good I like how the colors blend into one another. This is almost too pretty to drink. 😍

I also tried the Fred Flinstone which is the pretty reddish-orange one. And then the creamy orange-looking one and that's Orange Creamsicle. I saw a medical office assistant drinking this one and I wanted to try it.

Tried a couple drinks and they were pretty good. Not my favorite, but not awful by any means. Price was comparable to Starbucks. I did not care for the donuts. I wish you could order @ the old speaker box though, might make drive thru time quicker. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was thrown off by all the girls sitting on top of the counters and on cell phones while @ work.
