Not much to do around the area. And the website stated that the new play areas would be open by spring 2022. When we arrived the indoor water park, ballocity and ninja course were closed with no replacement areas. It was very disappointing to have less to do in this area which already does not have anything else to do. Also in the past the waterpark was included. Now you have to pay 5 dollars a person per day. Vacation was boring so we tried to play cards and have fun gathering as a family. Come to find out they do not have even have a good place to hang out and play cards. The staff was not very accommodating in this. They didn't care at all. Also we wanted to eat together but the staff stated it would be against state laws. Staff was breaking what I'm sure would have been against health laws as well. Then later in the day I called to see if we can have late check out so we can eat together in our room the staff said no late check outs would be available due to low staff. I asked where we could eat our lunch. The girl stated we can eat in the snack bar area that we were already told we could not be in. Again not fun for vacation. The room was ok except the door to the bathroom was sliding rather than a regular closing door. There was gaps in both sides. Very bizarre. You can hear everything. And we have a mixed family. Not really ideal for an open bathroom and glass shower door. My daughters were very uncomfortable. The air conditioner seems to be from 1970 and runs extremely loud. If you are a light sleeper it will keep you up all night. Also it made random wet spots on the floor next to the bed. Not something you want to step in when you are waking up. We tried to get clean towels the second day after staying there with no cleaning service and the staff told us there are no clean towels. Tried to get them several times but none were available until the next day. Staff in the restaurant seemed to be more training. But in the end the pizza tasted amazing. The arcade was really fun but there were a lot of games that didn't work. You can purchase cards with a discount but they can't be put on seperate cards. So when you have a family of four you have to stay together. It makes no sense. Seems like some training and maintenance is needed here. Needs to accommodate and cater more to families. Come up with some better ideas to provide a higher level of customer service to families wanting to come for a fun vacation.

We spent a lot of money on our room. For $189 a night I really expected there not to be gross stuff on the door walking in to our room and hair in the bath tub. This hotel is dire need of updates Service was excellent but the beds were not. We paid for a bunkhouse room which had two old metal bunk beds with chipped paint that squeeked anytime one of the kids barely moved. The room was extremely hobbled together. The walls are in desperate need of paint there was not one that wasn't chipped. The children loved the water park which is great because this is all our kids asked for as a Christmas gift. The blowdryer that came with the room was knotted and slung over a hook. Breakfast is not included in the price. We had people above us thudding around like herd of elephants from 7:30 pm to 1:00am. I called the front desk at 10:30 to complain because no one in our room was getting any sleep. They sent security and the people quieted down for a whole 10 minutes. There was mold/gunk up under the main light fixture in the bathroom and a hair stuck to the ceiling and in the paint in the wall😬. The curtains never really shut all the way so light could come in at night from the bright light outside right in your face in bed. Look they have GREAT service but for what we paid we expected A LOT nicer amenities. The plus side: they had wonderful amounts of fluffy towels in the room and we so appreciate that they have hotel rooms that sleep 4 children! That's a difficult thing to find. The service has been absolutely excellent. Everywhere we've gone in the building. The room didn't stink like cigarettes, or musty so that was a plus. ********* Update- The manager spoke with us and refunded us one of our nights stay and gifted us free breakfast. They also informed us that the rooms will be getting completely renovated this coming year so hopefully that does happen! Thank you for taking the time to try and make it right. ******* Second Update: As we're checking out we see deals that should have been explained to us when we checked in but we didn't get that so we missed out on savings..... Such a bummer. That is not helpful or good customer service.

We spent 2 days here (hotel was full so we didn't stay on site) and had a blast! It's a busy place, at least during a basketball tournament! If you stayed on site you would really never need to leave! The arcade was fun and full of different options (there's also a casino for those that like gambling). There are several places to eat, we ate a couple meals at the café - the cheese curds were great! Hucks harbor was fun, I didn't get to go, but my daughter had fun! It's a nice outlet to have for siblings during tournaments! The basketball courts were nice. Really the thing lacking at every tournament I've been to, is an athletic trainer. From head bumps to scratches and bloody noses, this would be a great addition. It was a little tricky finding a place to park - Google took us to the back where there isn't much parking at all. I ended up parking on the street. There is parking up in front of the water park area, as well.

So the attractions were great but the actual hotel room sucked. Front counter staff was good. When we got to our room the bathroom floor was soaked. Tried to call the front desk but the phone wouldn't work. Went down to the front desk who sent maintenance up, no leaks so apparently the room wasn't cleaned very well, maintenance said just throw one of the towels down you can always get more (ok, but idk what this liquid is and am not trying to find out) when maintenance left they left our room door open (lock thing flipped out so door wasn't shut all the way) we noticed this after about 20 minutes in our room while we were getting dressed to go enjoy the waterpark part of the resort. After enjoying the attractions (only saving grace for our stay) we come back to relax and lay down, the beds are super hard, as in I feel like we could have just laid a blanket on the ground and had the same feel. Ok, we are staying one night and it's late so no big deal. We go to sleep and are woken up at about 1am by what sounds like someone in our room, nope just some people walking by in the hall talking (not super loud mind you) this is when I notice there is a good 1/4 inch gap at the bottom of the door. As I'm walking the halls notice this isn't just on our room but pretty much every room on the ground floor at least. For being a "resort" this was probably the worst hotel/motel experience I have had. Save yourself the hassle and stay the night at one of the other places right next door to here. The only reason this is getting a 2 star and not a 1 is because the front desk people were good and the attractions were good. That being said, you can enjoy the same attractions from the hotels right next to this one, take a pass on this one and go elsewhere, water park, fun city and ballocity were all great though

Had to edit to add the fact that when we moved the end table between the beds out to find a plug in for our phone charger, we found a pizza crust back there (we didn't have any pizza while we...
