Ate here with family today at lunch, 12.29-21
35 minute wait if not longer
Either understaffed or our waitress was completely aloof, or both. My guess would be understaffed which is leading to my otherwise seemingly capable waitress dropping the ball multiple times.
Waitress did not bring our beverages for about 20 minutes, and only because I asked if there was a problem with the coffee situation. Did not leave any room for cream as requested so had to drink it bitter for awhile. Did not ask if refills were desired, and basically only did enough to earn a tip. If I had been alone instead of with family I would have slashed her tip quite a bit but I have the kind of family who like to encourage poor service, and having been a server I can't understand it for the life of me because I wouldn't expect a tip when I give garbage service. . When I was able to get a top off on my coffee waitress did not trouble herself to bring more cream, fortunately I happened to have some with me.
Chicken and wild rice soup came out tepid at best. I wouldn't bring it up if it had been even remotely warm but either it wasn't heated up to begin with OR it was allowed to sit there for 15 to 20 minutes. Which is a shame because it was otherwise good and chocked full of ingredients on like most wild rice soups you get.
Lettuce was white and had a bunch of brown rust spots all over it so was clearly not fresh.
Consider that we are talking 3.50 for a cup of mediocre coffee, since we arent in California or New York, that is a pretty exorbitant price for 'meh'
At the prices being charged I expect prompt service, food on point and no excuse.
Golden rule, I only expect that of others which I...
Read moreCame here again. Decided to get the oatmeal, with all the fixings, (banana, pecans, cream, brown sugar) which was pretty good. There was plenty of extra pancakes at the table, and those are always amazing! Anyone willing to share the recipe? And the service was outstanding - thanks Melissa! :)

First time here. Was told that they have excellent food and server, and usually a wait.
We got there around noon on Sunday. There was a 45 minute wait in the dining room, but we could get seats right away at the breakfast bar. We did that are were not disappointed.
Great service the entire time by the server behind the bar. Super attendance, helpful with suggestions, and friendly. (Thanks Melissa).
They were busy, so the food took a while to get to us. When it did arrive it was hot, flavorful and good portions. I was ordered the spinach and cheese omelet. On the menu, they talk about the process to make omelets, where they pan fry them, and finish in the oven. They call them "Baked Omelets". Maybe this helps the kitchen, but in my opinion the BEST omelets are fresh pan fried. This one tasted like it had been made ahead.
All the other entrees were good. The special pumpin pancakes were very good. The home made butter syrup is good, but to me was more like a caramel sauce.
Next time, skip the...

I was assisted by Grace, they provided perfect afternoon service, kept the water glasses filled, and were helpful with recommendations. I arrived around 1:15 p.m., and the place was busy, but thankfully, there was no wait, and I sat in a booth. I had the garden scramble, with harvest toast, and cheesy hashbrowns, $13.95. I also heard they make a yummy cinnamon roll, and I have a sweet tooth, so there was no way I wasn’t ordering this as a starter. Coming from Atlanta, I wasn’t surprised by the $8.95 price and thought it sounded about right. Let me tell you, when Grace arrived with my caramel roll, I said, "I only ordered one." She said I know, this is it." It was a mini loaf, I couldn’t’ believe my eyes. It was large enough to feed a family of 5! It was so delicious, soft, and full of cinnamon and the perfect amount of sweetness. I want to have one delivered to my home in GA. If you are ever in the Minneapolis area or close to Bloomington, drive to Burnsville and visit this casual café. The food was Amazing and affordable. This is very rare these days. Seriously, everything I ordered...
