My wife while pregnant couldn't consume deli meat. After giving birth and being asked what was the first thing she would like to eat after giving birth to our son, she replied Jimmy John's of course! We placed an online order for delivery at 8:05 pm. After waiting 40min I called the store to check on the whereabouts of our order. The young man on the phone replied, "Yea... we canceled the order and you will be refunded on your card in 3-5 business days". I asked why and he replied "We don't have any delivery drivers, I'm alone by myself at the store tonight, I'm really sorry. I tried calling the number on the order but it didn't go through. I'm sorry about that".
After checking my call log I did not receive any missed calls. Being that I was in an elevator for a short time coming down to the front where I lost service inside, is it possible that he had called me while I was in the elevator without service? Absolutely. For that I must give him the benefit of the doubt. But the fact remains that within operating store hours, this jimmy johns had ONE person working the whole store, with no backup if God forbit someone tried to rob the store, with ZERO delivery drivers to take orders. As a fellow Jimmy John's alum delivery driver of 7 years, I know how unacceptable this is. ONE in shop person running the store by themselves cannot be accept in any circumstance moving forward. I hope this store does the right thing to ensure that this doesn't happen again. I'm sorry to say that living locally, I will never be giving my business to this store again. The young man on the phone was very apologetic, I don't want this to have any consequence to him, but rather the GM of the store in knowing that this incident occurred, and the right steps taken to ensure that it doesn't...
Read moreSo the whole freaky fast thing only works if they know how to use GPS....and basic directions...and landmarks. Ordered online and got a confirmation within 2min. I've ate JJs in the past and it was always "freaky fast", truly. Well today took 55min....yes 55min and that's from the time THEY HAD ON MY RECEIPT. Come on guys 55min to make one sandwich and drive 2.1miles. Guy called and said he couldn't find it. Gave him one land mark and he said got it great and couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. After him driving past the house 3 times I went out and flagged him down but of course I could have walked there and back lol. If the food wasn't good I probably would eat here for a while but am definitely forgoing this specific shop. To top it off the sandwich was made incorrectly and the condiments requested, which were also stated on my receipt, were no where to be found. Super disappointed after the long wait and given I'm used to great service AND food from theses guys. For you JJ lovers out there...stick with your store or at least stay clear...
Read moreWednesday March 20th at about 450pm, we ordered two sandwiches for delivery. At 605pm our order had not yet arrived so I called the store. I was told that they didn’t have a delivery driver on staff, so our order was cancelled and we should’ve received a phone call. No phone call to us was ever made, and if I had known I would’ve gone to pick up the order - or, more likely just have gone to Jersey Mike’s instead. I was told “sorry, but a lot of people here are new and didn’t know to call” & “you won’t be charged for the food” - well I would think not since the order was cancelled lol So, an order comes in, it’s cancelled, the customer isn’t notified and that’s justified by being newly employed? Good one lol. All I can say is, don’t waste your time with Jimmy John’s and go pickup from Jersey...
