AVOID!!
We came here for dinner last night because this place had a 4.3, acceptable for a buffet. The vibe here is great. They have a little pond with koi fish, which I think is super fun. We ordered Diet Pepsi, which came with a lemon. Never had that before, but yum. It was delicious. $20.99 for a buffet is okay, but not for quality this awful. The food was awful. The cream cheese wontons were cold, and my sister even got an empty one. I got a piece of a fried sushi roll, and it was cold. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was bad. The shrimp was chewy and took an actual eternity to chew. The meat quality overall was extremely low. The ranch at the salad bar was very bland. It tasted like nothing except for salt. The Mongolian barbecue station was a let down. There were few vegetable options, and there were only green and white vegetables. Additionally, there were only like 3 sauce choices. The coconut cookie thing should not have been considered dessert. It literally felt like someone had just mashed shredded coconut together and put it in a cute mold. The cookie with a piece of almond in the middle was extremely disappointing. I usually love this kind of cookie, but it was dry, crumbly, and did not have a strong vanilla flavor like it should have. The puddings were good, but they were nowhere near as cold as they should’ve been. These were only good because they were store bought. All of the food had CLEARLY been sitting out for a long time. I think this restaurant is trying to do too many things at the same time, which is what I think brings down the quality of the food so much more. The random french fries and mac and cheese they have prove my point.
If you are looking for good sushi, go to Ama.
If you are looking for good Mongolian barbecue, go to Khan’s.
If you are looking for all you can eat sushi, go to Samurai, or Kyoto.
I will definitely not be...
Read moreUpdate and edit: tried it a second time thinking the first time was a one-off. Got food poisoning AGAIN. Food piled way too high to stay at a safe temperature and food that shouldn't be soggy was soggy. It's honestly amazing this place hasn't received any negativity from health inspections.
I love Asian and Chinese buffets so I was REALLY excited to try this one since it's only been open for like a week. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous and super spacious and the service is really good despite it being really busy the entire time we were there. The vats where the food was were never empty either so the kitchen seemed to stay on top of it too. So why the low review? Well some things were a bit off that are really important. One of them being something that will probably get someone killed unless it's resolved. They have cream cheese wontons and their sea food wontons in the same tray and the only difference is one side is labeled sea food and the other is labeled cream cheese wontons. My bf grabbed 3 and 2 of them were seafood. Luckily he doesn't have any allergies but it's definitely a HUGE risk for people that do. The other thing is I'm currently suffering from a case of food poisoning that I can only pinpoint on the chicken as that was the only thing I really ate from there that could cause it as well as the only thing I ate in the last 24 hours. My bf mentioned the chicken tasted almost sour so he didn't have any past the first bite so he's fine but I didn't taste it so I had a pretty hefty amount of it. Unfortunately our first visit will probably be our last. Especially with it being almost $50 for the two of us. I'll probably either go back to Super World Buffet in Apple Valley or spend the little extra money and...
Read moreI have no idea how they keep this place so affordable with its quality of food and range of selection. You can stack your own plate or go and have a hand-made dish created for you at a live open wok. It's a fun experience. The food selection isn't the largest buffet I've seen, but you'd be hard pressed to not enjoy what's here. The staff is super friendly and fairly attentive to your table. They will often clear and used plates and trash from the table just after you get up. So you always have space to place a new plate. No one has ever rushed us when there. Which a Is nice to see. The price for 2 adults around lunchtime on a weekday is about $36. And for the massive amount of food you can eat, it's well worth it. They do feature different prices based on the day and time. So don't be surprised if you show up for a Saturday dinner and it's $10 more expensive. Even at the elevated price. It's more than worth a stop. It stands as a benchmark for what a good buffet can be like. They recently (early-mid 2023) reopend after some extensive renovation, and it has made the inside look lovely. They have a nice waterfall and a koi (?) Pond inside. Large TV panels line one of the walls for some ambiance videos. Not to distracting, and I haven't seen any inappropriate content on them. I've been here 3 times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's near enough to justify the trip. And even a bit farther away if it's close to where you're going. I'm definitely going back soon. I hope to see you...
