Lucky's 13 Pub — Restaurant in Burnsville

Super friendly staff, the manager(I think) checked on us multiple times, and practically followed us out the door to say thank you. Very kind and friendly atmosphere. Recently had a baby, and this was our first time going out to eat with a baby. They were very accommodating, understanding, and attentive. I got the Ruben, which I've had before and it was better(still very acceptable, tasty not soggy, cut into three pieces and displayed fantastically)... probably just an off day or nostalgia, making me think it was better last time.. the onion rings were really good, and monstrous. They only gave me three but I could only eat two... lucky for my wife that wanted one!. My wife got the MN Walleye bowl, and she liked it a lot. They checked on us just the right amount in my opinion... not too much and not too little. The appetizer plates were on the table when we were sat, and only one set of silverware / napkin roll. Another would have been nice, and 100% certain if I asked they would have brought one out, but I didn't need silverware for my meal, and turns out sharing napkins isn't difficult, so all in all it was a great experience, and we'll go back... For the record my wife would have probably given the food four or five stars. We ate at a sit down restaurant with a great menu and great service for less than you can go to Five Guys or Smashburger these days... I've had the burgers here and they give either of those a run for their money, and somehow beat the price even after tip comparing to my last trip to Smashburger...

Unfortunately, today was a bad day. The hostess (which we figured she must be after a moment)was not friendly, she stared at us when we entered as if we were to answer her without a question asked. We said "two", assuming that was what she wanted us to say, and she grabbed 2 menus walked by a booth, not stopping, kind of tossing the menus not saying a word, walking back to her post. Waitress took our order fine even noting our bacon to be "well done". Very attentive at our order. Food came out luke warm/cold (potatoes cold & toast was not toasted and cold) & bacon was not even cooked to a normal order. Waitress noticed our bacon on dishes by the end of the table and asked if everything was ok. We asked if we could get the bacon fried more & she said absolutely, stating she even marked well done in her order. She returned with very, very very "almost" burned bacon (she seemed a bit embarrassed at its doneness) and asked if it was ok. We said yes, we were not about to send it back again. Waitress was very friendly but she did not come back again until we had our dishes stacked, showing her we were ready to go. Sadly, no return visit to our table, not even for coffee refills checks. Food should be served hot, there is no excuse for that for a well ran restaurant. Hopefully this was...

My review has nothing to do with the restaurant nor the staff, just my experience playing bingo last night. The bingo lady was actually awful! Not only did she not let my friend collect on her bingo “because they didn’t hear her and already closed the session”. No big deal. My friend just let it roll. We were told we needed to be louder. So that’s exactly what we did. We got 3 more bingos and when I called out bingo real loud as it was my first bingo to ever be won, the lady comes by snatches my paper out of my hand, leaves and comes back and threw the money on the table. Didn’t count it, did say anything besides “here you go” and stormed off.

When bingo ended I had a man from a table come up, fist bump me with a congratulations on my first win on bingo, and mentioned how rude the bingo staff was.

Soooo I think that might be my last time playing bingo there. I get people have bad days, or people get irritated, etc but it’s a job you chose as a profession. Do your job and “fake it till you make it” rather than be a miserable person to the customers who play and pay to have a good time! If you hate your job that much; quit! Hopefully this message will get to her boss somehow!
