Pork Chop John's — Restaurant in Butte

There’s been a pork chop sandwich war going on in Butte for as long as a fella can remember. In fact, just yesterday I was in the town of the French, aka Frenchtown, when a good friend and I were discussing the PCJ sammich and that other joints pork chop sammich. Well, I happened to be rolling down the 90 with an appetite and thought I’d hit PCJ at 11AM. That’s a good time to get a sammie. I rolled up to front row parking like the VIP I am and parked the ole work van myself cause valet isn’t on this early. I strolled into the restaurant to be greeted by some very fine and friendly people. One gal takes my order and serves my soda and the other brought my grub to go when it was done. Lemme tell ya, if I was a local Buttant, I’d be down here once a week to grab some grub. I’d like to try their other sammiches and burgers too. When ever I come to Montana I have to go to Butte Montana for a pork chop sandwich. I go to the one on Mercury street just because when I was little my dad would take me there. So every time I go to Pork Chop John's I get my sandwich and think about the good times my dad and I had , besides you can't get these sandwiches in Nevada. I also like the staff they're good people.

New update. July 28 2022. I come in this year and saw New faces. They gave me good service. For some reason the pork chop sandwiches were different. They just didn't taste like they used to. I'm not happy so I'm going to take the five star and give it a three star. Maybe next year when I come back it'll go back to a five star. But if it's bad next year like this year I'll give it a zero and will never eat here again. See...

I was a tourist going through the area. This place showed up highly reviewed on google so my wife and I headed over. On the first pass, my wife said in dismay that there was only a walk up window. I insisted that couldnt be so we walked up and found the door to walk in.The cook lady seemed very nice and the food seemed average. The pork chop seemed to be of frozen food quality. The fries were good imo. Very crispy. The lady doing the cooking also handled the money and I'm fairly certain I never saw her wearing gloves or washing her hands in between. I expected something with such good reviews to be a tad better than what I showed up to. Hoping we don't get food poisoning lol.
