Wendy's — Restaurant in Cabot

I am updating my review from 4 stars to 1 because in this past year this fast food restaurant has taken a nose dive and yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back. our experience is that the staff seems very under trained and therefore very slow to even take your order. they are too busy filling orders for door dash that they tell you over and over, I'm sorry...... I'm sorry... I'm sorry.... after waiting 15m they finally stop filling orders to at least take ours so we can get on the list. keep in mind the lobby isn't even full.. other times the wait has been so long we just left and went across the street to Freddie's who was PACKED and still managed to take our order and get it out fast!

yesterday there was max just us and 1 other person in the lobby with maybe 2 cars outside. we were hopeful we could get in and out in a decent amount of time. we ordered quickly and then proceeded to wait 30 minutes for a daves double burger, fries, and a salad.... 30 minutes.

the lobby isn't being up kept either with a blown out speaker that blares loudly and its horrible.... on top of that an employee, who was all laid out on the couch, was blaring their own music just as loud and it was so annoying to hear both.

when we did finally get our food, the burger and fries were ice cold....... my salad of course was cold and looked fresh, which was good, but the meat looked dried and old... just crumbles of chicken and barely any placed on the salad... its like they made our order forgot about it then called it out....

Wendy's... for so long, when I was a little kid up until I was a teenager, you were my favourite fast food place. I will forever be sad about the homestyle chicken tenders you discontinued back in the early 2000's, they were so good! For the longest time I wasn't even able to eat at any Wendy's at all. But over the past year I've been eating there again, and I was enjoying it. But now I'm thinking about stopping eating here again.

Wendy's, I just have one question...why? Why do you always change the things that are already good and don't need to change? Your natural cut fries were so good the way they were! I liked them because unlike other fast food places, your natural cut fries tasted like real potatoes! But you had to go and change something that was good the way it was. Now every time I get the fries they are either overcooked, soggy, or just don't have a good taste to them at all. Every time I find something I really like at a Wendy's, it always gets taken off the menu or the quality gets reduced.

I don't understand why this happens, but I felt the need to express my frustration about it. I wish I could give a better rating, but sadly Wendy's just isn't consistently...

So first and certainly foremost, the food was good and exactly as I ordered it, and the staff were friendly and were doing the best they could. The reason for the lower rating is I spent almost 45 minutes in a drive-through line at a fast food place. This was caused by a mixture of people ahead of me ordering 40 and 60 count nuggets in their orders; and management not taking charge to either say no to that or not getting those cars to leave the line. A fast food line is not for a bulk buy of any item. At minimum, people ordering in such quantities should be told to pull over to a parking space so as not to hold up the rest of the line. And I am aware I could have driven off, but when you only want food from one place, you just accept the wait. So I'm not upset at these things because, again, my food was good, I am simply speaking on the flaw in my experience. I'll probably eat at this location again, I'll just hope this experience was a fluke. But if not, I've had...
