It's Covid 19 time. Went to IHOP to get takeout. Parked outside as there was 8 to 10 people in their lobby I assume to order take out, then wait, and take it out. Problem is there is no way to maintain social distancing in that lobby with that many people which means it's a Covid breeding ground. So IThe initial page on G Maps said take out only, so I called to place a takeout order. The guy answered I said "I want to order take out", he asked me to want I said yes because I could hear him collecting payment for their take out. So I wait the background noise was silent for 2 minutes before I hung up. I was parked in the IHOP parking lot, that's how I knew there were 8-10 people there. I hung up and went home then called again to complain. He ansewered the phone I started to talk and it sounded he only spoke broken english and then started saying " only takeout only take out. (???) I thought I had dialed the wrong number, so I asked is this IHOP? Then some garbled words. Thinking I had dialed the wrong, I hung up and checked - no - I had dialed the right number and got a busy signal. Apparently he left the phone off the hook. All he had to say when I called the first time is say "we don't take phone orders, you have to come in and order first". I could have hung up and go home. So my rating is actually -1 star but can only mark 1 star. I love the food at IHOP's. I am NEVER going to any IHOP, this one in particular. Oh well. Now it's off to the online site and lodge a complaint with IHOP corporate and let them know. To the people who get this far, Have a wonderful day...
Read moreWent here for breakfast on mother's day. Worst experience. Starting with service. We had to ask multiple time for stuff for the table (coffee cups, utensils, straws) There were three carafes of coffee. One had cross water with coffee sealed in it, the other two were put on the table with not enough coffee for even one additional cup. The food was inedible. We waited over an hour for our meal to come. Hashbrowns were incredibly overcooked and burnt. Eggs and bacon were DRIPPING oil or grease. The international house of pancakes even served pancakes that CRUMBLED and fell apart. I couldn't even cut my childs pancakes correctly. My other children tried the churro pancakes. They were smothered in the toppings and made my kids sick from all the sugar. Again completely inedible food. The whole table was so dissatisfied and disappointed. We rarely seen our waitresses. She clearly did not want to be there. Our drinks were never checked and our complaints were ignored. Another waitress brought our check and then no one ever came back to help us. My mom had to go find someone so we could get the hell out of there. Outside in all areas were homeless people hacking, coughing, smoking, cursing, fighting. Not one good thing to mention about our experience there. I would give negative stars if possible and I'm usually very generous and kind with my ratings and reviews. On a day that should have been special and full of happy memories was overshadowed by our...
Read moreGood food, prompt service, personable server. Went during the middle of the day so there was no wait time to be seated and there was plenty of parking. The turn-in to get into the parking lot is either off college oak behind the Jack in the box or abruptly off Madison Ave, the layout of the parking lot is odd but given it's locale it wraps around the building and makes use of the available space. The area is littered with vagrants and degenerates who hang out behind the buildings going from the Target to the Jack in the box basically haunting the corner so use your car's alarm and anti-theft devices just for your own piece of mind. The pancakes were on par with chain-breakfast-restaurants and their ilk, the brunch burger was actually pretty darn good. Milkshake was runny but good enough. Two people with hardy meals came out to less than 35 bucks and we were in and out in 40ish minutes total. Better than Denny's, not as good as some of the local independently owned breakfast/brunch restaurants in the area. We lucked out and there wasn't a bunch of kids in the dining room, but I'd guess that weekend mornings and the after church brunch crowd probably brings in a bunch of loud children; if that's a deterrent then aim to go during the afternoon when retirees are getting their quiet early-bird specials. Easier to leave the parking lot from college oak instead of having to gun it onto Madison. We'll be returning customers to...
