Made reservation for the suite we normally reserve when traveling to Sacramento. We have 3 young boys and baby so needed the suite with a separating door, king or queen bed, pull out couch, spacious. Felt so excited when I was told by 2 different staff the room was available. I reserved the room and even called the day of our arrival to confirm reservation. After a long drive, we checked in only to be told our reserved room was unavailable due to maintenance!?!?!? I questioned staff why didn't they call to notify us?! Staff acted nice and tried offered a free room with 2 full beds with fridge/microwave to accommodate. How the heck were our 3 boys going yo fit on full bed? And my baby would be sleeping on the floor as no room for hubby and I and baby in a full bed!!We had been regular guests all of 2018 before Wyndham Corp took over. Much nicer then. It's appalling to read many recent reviews and learn others had made reservations for the suite they were told was available only to have to settle for different room . This has happened to an alarming number of guests if u read through these reviews. Something is really not right with this Laquinta . Though staff is nice and helpful, the service sucked.VERY uncomfortable beds in the alternative room we were moved to...concrete might've been more comfortable. Threw my neck/back out! Our TV would not go above volume 25 and was impossible for us to hear good. Very little space in room. Our a/c did not work and when I called front desk was told they didn't know if maintenance was available or not. They offered to move us to another room which had no fridge which was absolutely needed due to formula for baby.I finally figured out how to fix a/c by taking big huge panel off and messing around with wires. As a guest, I shouldn't have to do this at all!! After reading multiple reviews, my family and I should be grateful there were no bedbugs or fleas in our room and that our toilet flushed. Both pool and jacuzzi were closed which is big reason our kids loved this place. Ask if it's available before booking a room or staying in this motel .If u r traveling alone, with a dog, or homeless, you may fit in well.here. But a family should definitely look elsewhere. We will most definitely be staying different be place...
Read moreI am still trying to understand where things went so far wrong when visiting the La Quinta on Madison Ave. The front desk staff, Tasha, was extremely rude and immature over the phone when I called to extended my reservation. I don’t know why she was so upset with me when the issue at hand was not my fault, but she was. I thought our differences ended there but they did not. When checking out on our final day I asked for her name so I could file a complaint and her way of retaliating against me for doing so was to have my vehicle towed with all of mine, my 2 year old daughters and husband’s belongings inside. We had left our vehicle in their parking lot after check out (mind you we were there well over a week) so me and my family could go immediately next door to have lunch. By the time we returned no more than 45 mins later, our car was gone. When I went inside to see what was going on what did I find but Tasha and the security all buddied up side by side smiling with such delight in what they had done. So, we ordered an Uber (which was $40) to ride to the tow yard. While waiting for the Uber to arrive, We were forced to wait outside in the 109 degree heat. Not too long after we stepped outside we’re we approached by security telling us that we needed to leave the property immediately because we were no longer welcome there. They said we had already been warned, which we had not, so now we have to take my daughter and walk all the way back to inn and out in the crazy heat to wait there. We didn’t have a single diaper or bottle or sippy cup or any sunscreen NOTHING for my little girl as we waited for our ride. When we got to the tow yard we had to pay $400 to get our vehicle out of tow which was nearly every last dollar we had at the time leaving us completely broke. I cannot believe this happened, I cannot even imagine the kind of hatred one would need to have in order to do such an ugly thing to a family who had just spend nearly $1,000 at their establishment. It was very ugly and very unnecessary and completely unacceptable. I hope she loses her job over this incident because who knows when she will decided to do the same thing to another family all because they have asked for her name!! I am disgusted with the behavior of Tasha and her daughter and hope they get what...
Read moreMy recent stay at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sacramento North was profoundly disappointing. The service was subpar from the moment I checked in. The staff appeared disinterested and unhelpful, rendering the entire process frustrating and unnecessarily prolonged.
The condition of the room was abysmal. It was dirty, with visible dust and grime on surfaces, and stains on the bedspread. The floorboards were filthy, and the bathroom emitted a foul odor. The exhaust fan was non-functional, exacerbating the unpleasant smell. Moreover, there were no basic amenities such as hand soap, shampoo, or other essential toiletries provided. The overall quality of the room was exceedingly low, far below any reasonable expectation for the price. The construction of the hotel appeared haphazard and cost-cutting was evident at every turn.
While I understand that this is a budget-friendly option, I have stayed at other La Quinta Inns at comparable prices and experienced significantly better service and quality. This leads me to believe that the fundamental issue here lies with the ownership and management of this particular location.
Compounding the negative experience, I witnessed a disturbing interaction at the front desk. A customer was informed that they would need to wait an additional 30 minutes for their room to be ready. When the customer expressed their frustration, the receptionist bluntly stated that if they had any complaints, the manager would not assist them but would rather have them removed from the premises, stating, "We have a lot of reservations, so it doesn’t matter."
Additionally, I was double-charged for the same room. Despite contacting the staff and being assured that they would process my refund and send a confirmation email, I never received any such communication. Fortunately, I have initiated a fraud dispute with my bank, Goldman Sachs, to resolve this issue.
In summary, I would strongly advise against staying at La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Sacramento North. The substandard service, poor room conditions, and unprofessional management make it a regrettable choice. Save your money and seek accommodation elsewhere for a more pleasant and...
