I placed a sandwich order at this location earlier in the week utilizing a coupon being marketed right now. I made the sandwiches, inputted the promo code, paid, then drove over 20 minutes later to pick up. Upon going inside and letting them know I had an online order, the manager said, "Ah yes, we do not use those promotions here. We never accept the ones they offer because we loose money when we do, so I'll give you your food this time but in the future you will have to pay for the second sandwich, even if you already paid online."
During this, all I could respond was "Okay," because I felt extremely uncomfortable being put on the spot. Another customer came into the store during this, and he was watching me as I walked out as if I had done something wrong. I've bought here for years and never had issues with the service or food, but unfortunately will not be returning after this experience. The customer is not to blame for using a promotion offered by the company you decided to buy a franchise with - just give them their order in peace and make the necessary changes in the system so further orders are not placed with this deal.
I know each franchise is run by separate owners and they can opt out of these promotions - as I have tried to use them before and received the notification explaining so - however that did not occur yesterday. Though they may not like those promotions, again, it is inappropriate to blame the customer as I wasn't maliciously utilizing it. They may loose money from BOGO deals, but they also loose money when customers decide to buy at the other location a few blocks away since they do have deals and don't scold us...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant below 1 star, I would. The customer service seems great until you realize that the owner/manager becomes irritated and unfriendly if you mention "sub of the day" or any of the other deals going on everywhere else. In fact, she will outright deny that such deals even exist! If you do end up having the sub of the day, the manager/owner who works there most of the time will make you feel that they have given you a huge charity and that you should never come there again. I tolerated their attitude to the customers for a while since I lived close by and needed to grab a sandwich on the go. Now I drive a few miles to Natomas (the subway on the Truxel road) and they have not only the best customer service but also great sandwiches. Concerning food, it was hit or miss. Often times, their marinara meatballs sucked! (Maybe because it is on 5 dollar deal right now?) The meatballs were not prepared well at all and I had stomach ache after eating...
Read moreHi everyone! I don’t usually leave reviews that often, but I just had to after coming to this subway.
This was my first time at this location because I’m not from the area, and the first thing I noticed was that the lady behind the counter knew a lot of her customers on a first-name-basis, and had their orders memorized! When it was my turn to order the lady welcomed me with a smile. I have a few weird requests when I make my sandwiches and she didn’t get upset with me at all! I really appreciated that because a lot of the time employees will get upset with me or annoyed.
Made my sandwich without any problems and I was offered a stamp card! I did not accept it however because I wasn’t going to be in town long enough to get all my stamps. But I thought this was really cool.
I ate my meal at the restaurant and the location was very roomy, it didn’t feel cramped like other subways.
All in all it was a great experience and I had a good chat with the...
