So I go to this Wendy's quite regularly. I will probably never ever visit this location again and here's why. I went through the drive through and ordered a fish sandwich and ask them to drop it fresh. Less than 2 minutes later they came to the window and And handed me my order and I quickly handed it back telling them that I know it takes 5 minutes to cook or drop a new fish fillet. The young man at the window seemed very unhappy with his job and when I asked if they dropped it fresh he shook his head and shrugged his shoulders and his Said " I don't know if they did or not" so I asked them to do it. I was polite and never raised my voice once. After waiting another 6 or 7 minutes for my fish sandwich I had asked a manager to put my frosty in the freezer so it didn't melt. And I got my fish sandwich I also noticed my frosty didn't seem as if it had been put in the freezer or anything as it was melting. I took the sandwich and frosty and decided to eat in my car. While I was thinking about the cost of this transaction which came to about $12 and .32 cents. It dawned on me that I had been overcharged. A very nice young lady who I think her name is Lamia. Took the time to investigate after I ended up going back inside to question why the transaction was so expensive she noted that If I only had the fish sandwich and a small frosty then I had been overcharged. The manager who had dreadlocks made it seem as if I were trying to get some free food but since I ordered there a lot I knew it was too much money and they didn't give me a receipt but I have the card that I used to purchase the item and he remembered I had just purchased the fish because they had to redo it. It was embarrassing and they made it look like I was just trying to get something for free but there was no apology and he told me that I had been charged for a combo and ended up giving me a refund for the fries and he is the one who handed me the bag with only a fish sandwich in it in the first place So I doubt very seriously if I will ever come back here again at least not for myself. At that rate I used to be a manager and I would have given that customer anything their heart desired money, French fries whatever they had going to them and instead of them saying thank you to me which I did say to him I would have thanked the customer and apologize but I never received an apology I just gotta...
Read moreWendy's is one of my favorite fast food restaurants but this one is by far the worst Wendy's that I've bought food at. They need new management, better training, a new owner, a miracle or something. I've been here a few times and I've never had a positive experience from this place. Yesterday will be my last time coming to this particular Wendy's location. I went through the drive-thru that shouldn't have taken long with only 3 cars in front of me but I was in drive-thru for over 25 mins.
When i finally pull up, I was thinking that maybe they were short staffed but it looked they had a fully staffed kitchen but I noticed a few people were just standing around. I had a choice to make to cancel my order or pay and pick up my food so I could make it to my appointment on time. So, I asked if my food was ready, the cashier looked and said my order looks almost done so about 30 seconds. Well, 4-5 minutes later I finally received my food which obviously now made me late to my appointment having been at Wendy's for 30 mins waiting for my food in the drive-thru.
To make matters worst, I started eating the french fries after leaving the restaurant. These french fries were the worst tasting fries that I have ever eaten and I nearly gagged when I starting eating them. I'm glad that i didnt purchase the large but going to this Wendy's location is a huge waste of time and money.
edit.. after posing this review I seen other people have complained and Wendy's has responded saying they will report to management. Nothing has changed so it looks like management of this location does not care so I definitely will not return to...
Read moreIt was the first time that I used the Wendy's app to order my food so it would be ready when I arrived, I was a little unsure about some of the steps necessary to place an order. Come to find out when I got there (Wendy's on East Stockton Blvd, it is in the Costco parking lot) my food was not ready which is good because I was caught by every red light (5 of them) while on my way there. When I arrived and checked the app there was a message asking me to CHECK-IN and my order would be filled. I like the fact that the food is not prepared until I arrived. Remember my unease about using the app for the first time, well I did forget to order my Baconator Fries that would be FREE because I was making an mobile order, the manager, went ahead and included them when my order was filled even though they were not included as part of my order. I tried the full size Southwestern Avocado Chicken Salad (it's for a limited time only) (very much enjoyed the salad) and because I used the app to place my order, One Dollar was taken off the price of the salad. Instead of a soda I had the All Natural Lemonade, it was very refreshing.
Oh I also, did get a Chocolate Frosty, but was disappointed with the reduction in the serving size, it's been a while since I have had one so it came as a real rude surprise.
I have 13 apps on my phone for restaurants and in this case 13 is a very Lucky Number because I get either free stuff or save money on the price of the food, sometimes...
