I love the food here & it's AMAZING that they take EBT! I'm currently homeless living out of my car, so I don't have a lot of money, I do work hard at the job I have maintain gas in my car at all times, & for food to eat when I don't have food stamps left. A few months ago I went online to look up frosty queen, it took me to their website where you can order ahead of time for pick up. My ex GF & I had been craving their banana milkshakes, & decided to spend the last $14 I had left to my name on them. I Purchased them for pick up through their website & my money was taken from my debit card. I went to pick them up, it's 15 mins before they close.. I go through the drive thru & tell them I ordered online. They proceed to tell me that they don't have a website anymore.. & only do Doordash orders. I tell them that their website took the money from my card, they tell me to pull up to the window, at the window I show them the transaction on my bank app, show them their website which I ordered from & they refuse to refund me or give me the two banana shakes! I tell them I'm not gonna leave the window until it's figured out.. ANY other respectful, professional business would have made it right by just making the 2 milkshakes no problem... Because let's be honest, 2 milkshakes isn't too much to accommodate nor will they "lose" any money! They tell me to email the website from which I ordered from for a refund. & That I can reorder in person & pay again. I tell them I spent the only money I had on the ones I ordered online. I ask for the "manager" & explain the situation for the THIRD time, he also refuses! Never have I seen businesses refuse to make things right with their customers over their mistake! They clearly don't care about their customers, or their reputation, or care to have returning customers. (There's about 4 cars behind me now) I refuse to move & He tells me he's going to call the police on me. I tell him to go ahead & do so, out of respect for other customers I end up pulling into a parking spot in front of frosty queen & wait... Meanwhile a security guard that must patrol that parking lot, Pulls up & is staring in my direction. He comes over & asks me what's going on, I explain the situation, I show him my banking app & how they took the money from my account. I show him the online order etc. HE was EVEN in shock that they wouldn't make it right. He tells me he will go talk to them about it, He goes in & has a conversation & comes back out to ask another question, Goes back in there, talks more with them, Comes out & tells me that the manager would have made it right if I wasn't rude from the get go. I am an EMPATH, a very respectful, compassionate person.. I was NEVER rude from the get go.. I calmly explained the first TWO times to the person at the speaker & the window & By the third time having to explain what happened because no one wants to really listen & show compassion & understanding, I can admit that I may have raised my voice a bit by the THIRD time, because now your stealing your customers money off a website you say you no longer use, yet it allows you to make a payment?! That seems like a scam to me! I hope ANYONE in their right mind would fight for what's right, knowing the only money you had was stolen, & now you can't get anything! I can tell security was on my side, Him being an older gentleman, & also having old school values/way of thinking, believes that the customer is "Always" right. The security guard offered to buy my ex & I dinner & milkshakes from Jack in the box across the street, knowing our situation with being homeless. THAT THERE is an AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, COMPASSIONATE Gentleman that actually cares, long story short been emailing frosty queen for months for my refund & haven't received not one reply! & get this the default picture that pops up next to the email address you need to email for a "refund" on their supposedly non "working" website is a picture of the MANAGER that I spoke to that night at the WINDOW!! On August 6th 2025 at approximately 7:00 pm my girlfriend and I decided to dine there again . Well after ordering and trying to pay ,there were two mistakes on our part my girlfriend accidentally used her old Cal Fresh card with zero balance. She then tried her current card but balance was less than the bill itself . So this generated numerous receipts as we asked the cashier to please run the card again not realizing it was wrong card . Also asking to run her current card that she had with her twice not aware that it only had $24 dollars and the bill was $26.90 . So four receipts were sitting on counter in front of us. I had my EBT card with me as matter of fact the 6th of each month is when my benefits are provided. I'm 66 years old with congestive heart failure and chronic C.O.P.D is why I receive Cal Fresh. Benefits . Some how the amount of $269 dollars was taken off of my card right then but not realizing it because I now had five receipts in my hand but order went through so everything seemed all good until the next morning I tried my EBT card at a dollar tree . They declined a three dollar purchase . After arguing and fighting I decided to call EBT office . The only answers I could get from the recorded menu that one must use to find anything out about balance is that yes $269 dollar point to purchase was made on the 6th of August . No business name was given I tried all day to get a live person to help figure out the missing EBT balance whereabouts. Finally I decided to track down my card usage my self. Well kinda tuff when you have no vehicle and don't remember name of place you spent $26.90 day before. Anyway I finally got in touch with manager of Frosty Queen Friday after noon . They basically hung up on me twice and then hinted that I was lying or could be about the incident. Five receipts all tossed in trash before leaving counter. I have no way to eat this . month because they refuse to do anything to help refund...
