Shalimar Grill — Restaurant in Sacramento

I would give this place ‘0’ stars if I could… The service has completely downgraded since this place was open. Expect an hour + wait time for your food to be delivered to you. If you go there by yourself or with just a family of a few, they’ll ignore you and start catering a large group of people that may have walked after you. The most ridiculous thing I have encountered was going there recently and being overcharged. The prices on the menu had been supposedly “changed” but they hadn’t “updated the MENU” so food that was supposed to be around 60 dollars according to the menu ended up totaling 90 some dollars. When I asked the guy in the front politely (I believe he was the manager), he was passive aggressive about it and told me that the prices had been changed “just not on the menu”. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! Avoid getting scammed by them and instead of waiting absurdly long, I’d recommend going...

I was very disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. We drove an hour just to get there to break our fast, and as is customary, we expected water, fruit, and dates to be provided. Unfortunately, no one offered us any of these essentials, and it was clear that the staff were selectively serving some guests while ignoring others.

To make matters worse, the restaurant was packed well beyond its stated capacity—there were more than 150 people in a space meant for 100. The overcrowding led to a chaotic atmosphere, and strangers were even seated at our table without our permission, completely ruining our privacy and comfort.

Overall, the lack of attentive service, the disorganized seating, and the wasted trip made us feel like both our time and money had been thrown away. I sincerely hope the management takes steps to improve customer service and enforce their capacity limits...

Got invited by one of my co-workers here, I really went, but was not expecting to much from them... but once the food was served and I tasted it! wow!!! really good. I'm not talking one or two dishes, there were ten different dishes, chicken with rice, garbanzos in a special sauce ( my favorite) thre different types of bread ( I know is not called bread but...) fried fish, a spinach sauce, cabobs, two types pf grilled chicken and more that I can' remember all good (all spicy but you can ask for mildly spiced). Yeah it will take some waiting time before they serve you but is because they are not re-heating stuff, they're make in it fresh for you. I'm not trying to convince anybody here, but as for me, I liked it. They have a new customer in me, I'll be back for sure I thanks my buddy for inviting me to this place.
