We were in Napa and about to do a few wine tours and decided to eat here. The place has some nice patio seating and the staff was prompt and super nice. Prices are a bit high, but they appear to be in line with the norm for California and this area. The food was fantastic. We are from Texas and I grew up eating in Mexico a lot. The tamales and Pork Chili Verde were excellent. Rice was on point and the sweet corn was a nice touch. I ordered a Margarita and asked for fresh Jalapeños in it with some Tajin and they nailed it and the drink was superb. However, it was a ratger tiny glass compared to the Margarita glasses at most places. I also like super spicy hot sauce and at first, when I asked, they brought out the typical bottled sauces that are generic and loaded with vinegar based hot sauce. I asked if they had any house made salsa that was super spicy and the server said "yeah, but it's real spicy!" I asked for this and it was excellent with great flavor. For the average person it would probably be super spicy, but for me it was just right. We will return and we were overall...
Read moreWe were here with my parents on a Friday for lunch after our visit to Castello di Amorosa and we were utterly disappointed. The only positive thing about this place was the decor/ambiance and the staff. The food was not good!! As someone else pointed out in their reviews, the food here is not Mexican at all. It wasn't fresh nor tasty. We ordered Chicken Fajita and Chicken Enchiladas and neither was good. The chicken in the fajitas was so tough and dry, not juicy. The tomatoes were out of a can I guess because that's exactly how they tasted. Even the enchilada was not what we expected it to taste like. But we were so hungry that we just finished what was served to us! The chips were better than the food itself because they were hot and crispy, as they should be. Salsa was below average I should say. For those with kids needing a diaper change, there is No diaper changing station in the restrooms here!! Hmm not family friendly for a...
Read moreMy wife and I walked into this restaurant and entered the main lobby. We were waiting for more than 15 minutes to be seated. There was no host / waiter to seat us so we seated ourselves at a near by table. Soon after, new customers came in to be seated and the host reappeared and serviced them. After waiting another 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order, I had to call him to our table. I asked him if If we were invisble because he never attended us or even acknowledged us. He gave a snarky response implying that he wasn't going to give us service since we seated ourselfs. The waiter / host was a tall skinny guy with long hair. Fed up, we left and ate somewhere else that had way better service. Never...
