LONG REVIEW: I wish I could give zero stars but of course i cant. I dined in here on 01/22/25 at 8:30pm. I was literally the only customer seated and then shortly a family on 3 came in. I ordered the sampler for 1 and was allowed to substitute the beef stick for 1 crab rangoon. Everything in the platter was fresh and the sauce on the rib was really good. Here comes the bad part.... I ordered a 1 1/2 headless shrimp (in the description on the menu it says deveined) Lies!!! But that's not the worst part... instead of a butter sauce like all seafood boil restaurants offer I was given a weird tasting gravy with a hella garlic in it. I couldn't place the taste at first but them I realized it was EGG FOO YOUNG GRAVY being used. I instantly asked for a manager and she seemed shocked that I even mentioned it/recognized it. I also let her see how much poop was coming from their "deveined" shrimp. I was told that's how it comes from their distributor. (Well, then someone needs to take that note off the menu since they don't look at the product to make sure its actually deveined properly). I ended up giving the boil back to the manager and just ordering a maki sushi roll. I ate maybe 3 pieces and wrapped up the rest, paid and went on my way. Fast forward to last night....I decided to do take out this time (giving them another chance to redeem themselves) around 9:00pm and I wish I had just gone to Wendy's like I started too. I ordered a small jumbo shrimp fried rice (the 4 shrimp that I was given were clean) with extra green onions and added mushrooms and another sampler for 1 (this time I subbed the beef stick for an extra wing). I paid and waited maybe 10 minutes for my order, checked it (everything LOOKED good) and went home. The fried rice was tasteless/old and the veggies seemed mushy to me, the shrimp tasted like they had been sitting inside a chemical before being cooked and the entire sampler was re-fried items (only the rib seemed fresh). The chicken wings had a weird smell to them (my dogs wouldn't even eat a piece of the meat). I don't know what's going on back in that kitchen but maybe an inspector needs to pay them a little visit.... I threw away $23 worth of food... straight TRASH!! There will be no third chance given because I will never spend another dime in this place. The staff at the counter are slightly rude and expect a tip just for taking your order (young guy with glasses and the lady with the mask on). BEWARE that's all I have...
Read moreThe communication barrier is an issue. If they mess up your order prepare for an unnecessary debate in respects to what YOU KNOW you ordered VERSUS what they claimed you ordered. In fact, secretly record the conversation because you may be to reference it when they attempt to make a false claim. . . I was a repeated customer for about a year until today. I ordered the exact items each time. I believe they have different cooks because the order was not always prepared the same and sometimes they did nit get the order right. Today, I returned spicy sushi rolls informing them that they forgot the spicy mayonnaise sprinkled on top. The young ladies got disrespectful and shifted the blame on me as if I did not order the item correctly. Then she charged me fifty cents extra which has never happened in the past. I informed them that I ordered the same items each time and that the mayonnaise was always sprinkled on top and that I was never charged an extra 50 cents. . . I never had to make a different request. They repeatedly dismissed my messages to the point where the other two seasoned professional Black customers grew frustrated too and claimed that it would be the last time they frequent the restaurant based off the mistreatment and bold disrespect they witnessed. I handled the situation very respectful. Keep in mind that I possess a MASTERS DEGREE IN COMMUNICATION & TRAINING (establish my creditability) They requested that I pay an extra 50 cent for the spicy mayonnaise that already comes with the order. I gladly gave them the last 50 cent knowing that it would be the last 50 cent they ever receive from me. receive from me because I feel that quality customer service is important. Listening and respecting ALL customers is extremely important when store owners decide to serve minority communities. I’m sure I am not the first Black customer who left the restaurant feeling defeated because of a simple problem with their order. . . Fifty cents and a lack of professionalism just costed the owner of that establishment hundreds of my potential dollars. I am a teacher-professional and I do not always feel like cooking after I get off work. The last thing I need is to deal with people who are committed to offering subpar customer service only after they fail to...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in for lunch and always order food from this location have always said we'll just have to stop in sometime for lunch maybe; because of the relaxed open atmosphere of the restaurant. We were quickly seated and order taken along with food prepared along with appetizers were served in great timing. The food of course was the great taste and quality as always, but I tell you, getting it fresh and hot out straight off the fire is priceless. Now I will tell you that they have very nice size portions as they do when you order for delivery which is great, but just to let you know because I believe in tipping and think if you don't then we need to have a conversation. But I was ready to give a tip but being use all types of restaurants, I checked to see if their was an 18 or 20% because the food was very good. But in actually the act of tipping is not on the food but on the server. Since we didn't have a designated server, an automatic gratuity should not be added if the crowd is low and no need for server. But to get off of that topic, But bottom line regardless of the tip thing i just noted a cost fact but the experience was romantic and amazing along some of the best favorable food with seasonings and spices. But if you have a chce stop in for lunch or dinner, i assure you an amazing time. Im a professional reviewer and believe in being honest with every single review that I do and never...
