Cinderella's — Restaurant in Cambridge

THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THIS IS ABSOLOUTLY DISGUSTING AND IF YOU GET NAUSOUS EASILY THEN DON'T CONTINUE. I am a high school student and I have an after school program/job and hadn't eaten all day. So I along with my friend decide to order food from Cinderella's. She got a large fry and I got a chicken wrap. My order comes in around 45 minutes from placing it. When my friend sat down to open her LARGE fries (which were $5, there were only about 2 dozen). Then I sat down to open up my chicken wrap. When I open up the paper wrapping the sandwich, I pick up one half of the sandwich and stuff falls out. so I flip the sandwich over, to stuff the things back in. THAT'S WHEN I NOTICE THAT THERE IS A FRICKEN COACKROACH COVERED IN SAUCE ON MY FRICKIN SANDWICH. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO ADD A PICTURE BUT LITERALLY, RIGHT WHERE YOU WOULD TAKE YOUR FIRST BITE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOP OF THE CUT OF THE SANDWHICH, THERE IS LITERALLY A FULL COCKROACH ON MY SANDWHICH. There were about 30 witnesses, I think over 5 threw up, the rest posted a picture of it on facebook and all were in shock and got responses of disgust and shock. Fistly, I call the place and tell them and they literally say "Do you want a new sandwich?" THAT IS DISGUSTING. THEY DISREGARDED MY ENTIRE COMPLAINT, DON'T APOLOGIZE, AND OFFER ME A SANDWICH, LIKE NO I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER SANDWICH OR ANY OTHER FOOD FROM YOUR DISGUSTING PLACE EVER AGAIN. They didn't even apologize or offer for a refund!! I told them that I wanted double my money back or go and report them and have their health certifications removed. What if I ordered pasta???? Who knows if there was a frickin cockroach in the middle of my pasta and didn't notice, or any other meal for that matter! Then they said they were going to send their delivery man to come back to my job and TAKE my sandwich back (to most likely destroy evidence so I don't take the sandwich to the health offices and shut them down most likely). I ordered through GrubHub and they said I had to call them in order to get the refund and when I called them, they put me on hold so they can make sure with Cinderella's THEN, that's where GrubHub said, they will return only the money for the sandwich and that is it and when I tried to tell them otherwise, they said sorry and that I had to talk to them again. Anyways, then after about 2 HOURS of waiting, the delivery man came, and took the sandwich. BUT when he came, he basically yelled at me, asking for the fries too when his manager only asked for the sandwich. That's when he literally gave me 'the hand' as he took out his phone and called the manager, said something to him in spanish, snatched the sandwich from my hands, and walked out of the building, without apologizing or anything. He was so unbelievably rude to me and my friend. Later on when my mom came to pick me up, I told her about the whole experience and she sat there in shock. She was literally about to drive me over to the police station so I could report them and have a health investigation filed. I told her no, so she took me to the actual Cinderella's in Central Square where she then requested the manager, and yelled at him, telling him about my experience and told him to give me an actual apology. He was trying to make us calm down and not make a scene to inform all the people there what they were eating and was very embarrassed. He gave me back twice the amount of my total order and offered to have the delivery man apologize when we said no and told him thank you and left. LONG STORY SHORT, NEVER EAT HERE, UNLESS YOU ENJOY COCKROACHES ON YOUR FOOD AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I'VE HEARD SO MANY GOOD REVIEWS AT THIS PLACE BUT NOW YOU LOST MANY CUSTOMERS THROUGH ME, THE PEOPLE WHO SAW, AND NOW ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WILL HEAR ABOUT THIS....

I am sorry to have to revise my review for this venue. A good management was substituted by an even newer one. Some version of a very old menu has been restored and, I'm sorry to have to say... food is as bad as it used to be in the past years (minus the oct 2015 - aug2016). Pizza is as chewy as Vigorsol chewing-gums; french fries soggy; bacon overcooked. I wouldn't even attempt in trying their pasta. Unless you're starving, please, consider going somewhere else. McDonald is far better. At least the space was renovated and isn't as terrible as it used to be (prior oct 2015)

OLD REVEIW - 5 star: Ever since the venue was restored and a new management took over the restaurant, my colleagues and I often enjoy our Friday lunch, here. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. They do a great barrel aged Negroni and all sort of cocktails. I am not a big fan of beer but I know their selection is wide and changes often. I prefer their wines, instead. Portions are very generous and food is good - try their brisket sandwich for a very fulfilling lunch. Thumbs up for their small plates, too which make "aperitivo time" very enjoyable. Great music...

DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!! it doesn’t even deserve one star. my friend and I got delivery (spaghetti and meatballs and a chicken parm sandwich). spaghetti arrived covered in thick layer of melted cheese and orange grease. pasta was chewy, sauce tasted watery and greasy, and meatballs were worse than the frozen store brand kind. I ate maybe 1/8 of the meal before I started feeling sick and threw it away. my friend ate half his sandwich before saying the same thing and throwing it away. too late though, because we both got food poisoning!! we both have all the (gross) symptoms. avoid this place at all costs—literally food from the gas station would be better than food from this restaurant. not even fit for...
