Horrible Customer Service -- The employees at the DMV are more friendly than the employees at Mountain Mike's Pizza in Campbell. I've been going to Mountain Mikes for as long as I can remember, but unfortunately for them, they just lost a 20+ year customer. I ordered pizzas to be delivered (and was quoted a 45 - 60 minute delivery time). After about 70 minutes, I called the restaurant again to check the status of the order (by clicking "redial" in my phone's call log). The male that answered the phone immediately told me I never called that specific restaurant restaurant to place the order ... I told him that was impossible as I just hit redial in order to call them back (I dialed the exact number I had dialed 70 minutes earlier when I placed the order). Miraculously, he then found my order, which had apparently not been entered into their computer system when I called 70 minutes earlier (whomever took the initial phone order apparently goofed and didn't actually enter the order). This type of mistake was annoying, but understandable ... mistakes happen. The more frustrating aspect of the situation was the male's unprofessional and rude response ... and his inability to make any effort to take responsibility for their mistake and make things right. He didn't apologize, he didn't try to explain what happened, and he didn't try to make things right by offering a discount or expedited delivery. In a very matter of fact tone, he said the next driver would deliver the pizzas. I asked him how long that would take and he refused to answer the question. When I told him I was disappointed in their poor customer service, he proceeded to get angry, he told me "you ain't no one special," and he challenged me to come down to the restaurant to "go outside" and resolve the issue. Needless to say, I didn't go down to the restaurant and I certainly won't...
Read moreWe will not be back. We used to enjoy good pizza here, but sadly this is no longer the case.
-First and most importantly, the pizza was subpar, not the fresh, tasty pizza we're used to eating here. We dined in, ordered our pizza while there, and the place wasn't busy. Both our pizzas were served lukewarm, deficient in cheese, and oily with overcooked, limp veggies. -About a month ago, we had a similar bad experience here and hoped that it was a one-off. It wasn't; today was just as bad. -Initially, we considered ordering the Lunch Buffet, but the scant offerings were unappealing, unlike the quality buffet they used to offer. -The place smells musty. -Watch your step, as the floors were quite greasy and slippery, including in the restrooms. -Only two of their big-screen TVs were available, one tuned to a cartoon, the other to a game show, both with volumes blaring, ugh; they had covered the others with paper. -The temperature was freezing inside the restaurant. No heat. Very unpleasant for dining. -All in all, there were no redeeming features about today's visit. Another one...
Read moreI took my daughter here for their weekly lunch buffet and it was overall a really good experience. We got two buffets and drinks with a small tip (self-service) for under $25. The pizza crust is more on the crunchy side and if you ask for extra sauce they will give you a couple sides and then you will be charged extra. The cheese on the pizza is really stringy and they do a great job of keeping the pizzas fresh and coming. The variety is also great as they serve up everything from veggie, pepperoni, plain cheese, Hawaiian, BBQ, meat lover's, and much more and cheese bread sticks!!! Their salad buffet, which comes with, offers great toppings (fresh veggies, bacon bits, seeds) and basic dressings for spinach and iceberg lettuce choices. Their fountain drinks come with free refills too which is a plus! The restaurant is overall very clean and inviting, the TV's surrounding you play mostly sports channels, there are games for kids in a secluded area, and the employees are nice. It got crowded for a weekday, but the food and service stayed consistent. Definitely...
