We decided to try out this place tonight. We couldn’t decide what we wanted, but given the circumstances… we had to do something. After some brainstorming, ideas, and searching.. we decided to try this place. Initially, we read some questionable reviews… but in the food business, you can’t please everybody… someone is gonna complain. And we also thought that there must have been a change in management or something… because within the past few weeks, they have good reviews. But 6months ago… not so much. My man and I love Mexican food, and have had our share of good and bad. So we decided to “play it safe” with an easy, can’t really mess up kinda dish. I decided on the Carne Asada with corn tortillas, and he chose Carnolias with flour tortillas. After getting home and settling in, we finally ate. Both dishes were really delicious! The pork was moist and tender… although my guy thought it could have maybe been seasoned a little more.. The steak was very tender and juicy! And the flavor was like a seasoned grilled taste. Both dishes came with all the fixings… beans, rice, pico de gallo, grilled jalapeño, shredded lettuce. All of it was fresh, tasty, great consistency (bean). Tortillas were perfectly warm still and soft. Wrapped perfectly in aluminum foil.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The food took about 15 minutes to make… not a bad time for carry out. We watched different crowds coming in so everyone seemed to have liked it. Nice spot too. A lot of windows and spacious seating. Ver modern. Very chic. Very cozy.
Oh BTW… MARGARITAS TO GO! My man said it tasted like lemonade. I thought it was too but not bad. Or horchata… (very delicious. Very sweet. Very smooth.)
We will definitely come...
Read moreNever saw this restaurant off Canton Center & Michigan Ave until recently & was excited to try it because-no offense to the local options-but I normally prefer to go to Detroit or Ann Arbor for Mexican food. We got takeout about an hour before close. The food was hot, well packaged & came with chips & salsa included. We tried the birria tacos (added cheese), Camarones Mexicanos, Papas Locas with steak, an order of street corn (didn’t see on menu but read about it in the reviews), and a horchata! Very excited about the last two as most places don’t have them. Horchata was perfect, not too sweet and refreshing. Everything was great! I’m confused by some of the reviews that said the steak isn’t steak but ground beef & there isn’t shredded meat…I haven’t tried all the menu, but the papas Locas was clearly steak, just chopped steak. You might mistake it for ground at first glance but the texture is clearly steak. The birria tacos are barbacoa, or shredded beef. Never had birria tacos, but they tasted just like I thought they would, delicious! Loved the papas Locas, steak and bacon topped potato slices with queso and sour cream. That or the Camarones came with a side of shredded lettuce, tomato & sour cream…whoever it was for, there was plenty to share. Didn’t try that dish because my husband ate it all before I had the chance. He was a fan. Portions were quite generous, had leftovers for the next day’s lunch. I didn’t think it would ever happen, but we finally have a Mexican restaurant in Canton that rivals my favorites out of town! I will 100% be back soon to try other things on the menu, and definitely try the churros…if they ever start doing fried ice cream, I’ll...
Read moreFirst time, and was hoping to give a good review. Love me some Mexican food! Anywho, I placed an online order. Arrived to the place, I walk in, the manager was standing to the right, thought he was a Customer. No greetings! Customer service goes a long way..again none was given! I asked for my order, gave my # and name for the order but it was like she was confused. It got me thinking, yall didn't get my order. She stepped away, again no customer service...let me check....I set to the side to get out of the way for other customers. Then I stepped back to the counter, she tells me order will be ready in few. Minutes later, she brings the order to me. I asked if there was salsa for the dishes in the bag. No just salsa and chips. I'm like, could I please get some salsa? They explained that the dishes I ordered doesn't come with salsa. So as a paying customer, we can't get salsa?! Instead, I had to pay $2.99 for 6oz cup of salsa [Rip off]..there should be a complimentary salsa cups for customers maybe in smaller container. Plus the salsa was not on menu as a purchase. So how is a customer supposed to know this. No apology nothing..failed customer service. I was so caught up on the fact No salsa, I didn't check the bags to make sure I had everything. Finally, I got home and realized there was no tortillas for the fajitas. Called the establishment, to explain the mishap, they helped with this matter. I just wanted a positive experience with this place but I will not return. The food was not seasoned. Customer service need to improve and the menu need...
