Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Canton

There is great pizza here at Mike's! I live in LA and travel often to NYC. Finding great pizza is a hobby for our family. We have tried many places and many types of pizza. Work has brought me to Canton and I started looking for a good pizza, not expecting to be impressed. I looked at the photos posted online to identify pies that had a nice appearing crust with that hint of char that I like. Mike's pizzas on photo checked that box. So off I went to their spot that opened recently on Walnut Ave. I ordered the Il Pepe which is their pepperoni pizza with aged and fresh mozzarella cheese, pecorino cheese and fresh basil leaves. As you can see the pizza is very photogenic! The outer crust had that crispy exterior that gives the audible and tactile crunch. The interior was chewy chewy good. I was impressed by the thin crispy under crust that easily supported the sauce and cheese when pickled up. Also crisp. Not soggy. I loved the sauce and cheese flavors. The basil crisped up and added the unique aroma and taste is this herb. I was amazed. To find pizza this good anywhere is difficult. I pinched myself to think that my work brought me to Canton and I have found a holy grail of a pizza here. Wow! The place opened recently. They will be a brewery opening in the same space soon. Pizza this good deserves a line going out the door, which is what happens to great spots in Los Angeles. I will be back. Do yourself a favor and try this...

Last night was my first time going here and even though I was the only person with brown skin in the building…. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I felt safe. They give out table numbers while you want for your order to be completed. The boy up front told me I could wait for my food by the bar. They were so nice in here that I tipped everybody. The building was so clean. Can you believe that have a bar in the back?! I don’t drink alcohol but the bar tender was so nice that I let her sell me a tiny glass of wine just so I could tip her. The glass was beautiful and she gave me ice water too. Mellow setting and gentle music. Natural ingredients used to make the pizza, it was delicious. This place is considered to be upscale so don’t go in there doing low vibrational stuff. Get your pizza, get your drink...
