Disappointed with this local brewery. Covid-19 and it's restrictions are behind us, so using it as an excuse to serve in plastic glasses is gone. Yet this establishment has continued to serve in to go cups. I recently visited two smaller breweries in Sebastian and we were greeted with smiling faces and served great beers in cold glass pint glasses. And as if the plastic wasn't low quality enough, behind the bar clearly visible were shelves of glass pints & flight glasses covered in thick dust. One of our friends say "well recently they did remodel" to which another friend responded that looks like the last dust we saw months ago, it's not new stuff. And besides they just changed a few decals on the walls, no major construction. They changed the name to Carib, but I don't know if that was just a marketing measure, or new ownership. I heard they had a new tap room, and remodeled, to find not much had changed since we were there last. I'm also disappointed with the beer choices, I'm sure there are people who like some of their choices, I'm not one of them. And there hasn't been a new choice in a long time, Playlinda Brewery changes their beers, trying new and inventive selections, seasonal choices all while keeping the most loved choices. I just wish they were closer to the beach. Our area has risen up in quality and choice for dining and bars over the past few years, our area is becoming well know to the foodies and patrons looking for specialty craft beers, craft cocktails and unique dining. This brewery does not meet the standard and needs to up their game. I can say one good thing, they do have a great selection of ciders, especially like their Blood Orange and Rose' cider. My suggestion to the new or old owners, clean and detail behind your bar, experiment with some new beer choices, if not to bottle, just to try out on tap and keep thing fresh and exciting and start thinking about the experience of drinking the beer. One last thing, I know you took the some of the TV's down while doing some painting, but having to scan a bar code to view what you have on tap is tacky. At least print and laminate a list or put it on a chalk board. The bartender just pointing at the bar code to scan for what your selections are was a low in customer service. Tourism is coming back, so it's not just locals you are serving. Think more on how to wow them and wow your locals too, they are who recommend to others where to...
Read moreWe found a great brewery in Cape Canaveral. We brought the whole family, with all ages from 5 to seniors represented. The adults all had different tastes in beers and everyone found something they really liked. My favorite was the Giant Leap Kolsch. I not only loved the taste of the beer, but also liked the tributes to the space program in this and many other of the beers. "Giant Leap for Mankind" was the reference to Neil Armstrong's first words from the Moon. The kids loved the games available for them, Connect 4 (giant version) and a regulation foosball table were their favorites. All were also interested in watching the bottling line that was in production during our visit. A glass wall along the back of the Limehouse tap room separated it from the brewery and bottling areas. Brewery employees were making and bottling beer right in front of us. The brewmaster stopped by the taproom too and it was nice to get a word with him too. There is an illustrated beer menu drawn in chalk on a wall that is very impressive. A lot of work certainly went into that menu. Our visit to Carib was the most complete brewery visit we have ever made, because of all that we saw, heard and tasted...
Read moreThis huge facility includes a panoramic, glass enclosed, view of the entire brewery which you can watch while you're sitting at the bar enjoying some of their cold beers. The flights were great and I like the fact you're given a paper list to chose from and the bartender puts your selections in lateral tasting order for you so you can keep track easily as you go. The brewing area looks state of the art and the bar area has all sorts of cool games to play while enjoying a pint. The only food available is refrigerated snacks and that's no fault of the brewery, we can thank Florida's difficult licensing for that. That being said we had a cheese plate, hummus and pretzels, and sea salt and pepper popcorn which were all tasty. The beers are good, well balanced, and straight forward. I enjoyed the Florida Lager and my girlfriend tried a pineapple cider that tasted like soda... that could be dangerous fun at 4.5% alcohol. The bartender was nice and we enjoyed a couple hours there learning beer trivia on their...
