I hate to complain, but this is not the first time I've had the same issues with the same employee at this location. I have worked in the service industry for over 13 years. I now have a daughter who also works in a similar establishment. So after witnessing this individual be so condescending and dismissive to his coworkers (especially younger staff) really worries me. I am unaware of his name, so I will describe him as a thin male with glasses, who at times looks unkept. I try to avoid the times that he may be working. However, last night I wasn't so lucky. Last night I was on the receiving end of his dismissive behavior and felt outright ignored. When I finally said, "Ecxuse me?.." he quickly replied "Use the kiosk!" Meanwhile, he did not even look at me, I honestly could not tell you what he was doing. Because I remembered him from previous visits, and mainly because I did not want to stoop to his level, I chose to just use the kiosk and voice my concern here. At least my concern may be heard here because he certainly would not care to listen. He never lifted a finger to help his coworkers or customers. I am actually glad he didn't have a hand in preparing my order because the food was great! GOOD JOB TO HIS COWORKERS LAST NIGHT! Multiple people were dismissed to the kiosk as well, or just chose to use the kiosk after waiting several minutes without service. I apologize for this negative review. I understand the impact it can have. However this has nothing to do with anything at this location except one person. He needs to be either put in the back where he does not have contact with any customers, or even better, find a job where he doesn't have to provide service...
Read moreI'm not calling McDonald's a 5-star restaurant, I'm calling this establishment a 5-star McDonald's. Friendly, fast service.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT waste your time with the McDonald's across the street from Ron Jon's in Cocoa Beach. We literally live behind Ron Jon's, and make the trip to this McDonald's in Cape Canaveral simply because it's that much better.
Just last week I figured I'd give the one across the street from Ron Jon's another go at it. I asked for extra pickles and extra onions on a quarter pounder, and a double cheeseburger with shredded lettuce. Of course they're not ready to just grab out of the window like that so they had me pull up to the #1 spot. The only reason I sat there as long as I did is because I wanted to see just how long this would take. 13 minutes later, they brought out my two sandwiches. If they think this is acceptable, they should just close down the restaurant altogether. I have never waited that long for any fast food, and simply because I asked for two sandwiches with "special instructions" they had to have me pull up and wait that long for my food?? It's like they did it intentionally to punish me for asking for something different than what is on the board. Also, they just aren't polite, nor friendly, like this McDonald's in Cape Canaveral.
I have never had a bad experience going to this McDonald's.
Sorry I got a little long-winded there, but the point I'm trying to make is go to this McDonald's, even if you have to drive out of your way, that is if you care about service or how fresh and hot...
Read moreI had decent food at a decent pace with drive through service on 8/1/20 at just before 9pm. So why 2*?
Simple, I nearly drove right past the McDonald’s that I had mapped to get to, and nearly put myself in a dangerous driving situation, because it looked like it was closed. The inside lights were off which may make sense when not servicing customers inside. However the iconic Golden Arches, the central piece of advertisement and location finding, its light house, and its way of communication to drivers that it was open, was not lit up. I nearly started to look for another location until I saw another vehicle in the drive thru getting food.
I asked an employee there and the explanation was that the manager is trying to save a few dollars in electrical bills by not running the big yellow sales beacon that brings joy to people because sales were down.
So let me understand this, in the pitch black of night, your primary mode of advertisement is shut off because your sales are low? You’re going to solve your sales woes by looking closed? Sounds like the manager is preparing for the inevitable rather than trying to turn things around. Why bother? Just do what you really want to do and shutter the doors and send everyone home jobless because you are awful at your job and don’t care. Just get it over with.
As a lover of McDonald’s, I am horrified by what has been allowed to occur by the management of this McDonald’s. Someone needs to right the ship and fast because the captain is aiming...
