Let me tell you about your employee Britany Wilson who is a sweetheart, an amazing server who treats you like family. We used to live in Ft Myers while waiting on our home to be built. While that is a story in and of itself, the purpose here is to tell you, Carrabba's, of the value you have in her as an employee. Each time we were there she came running over to give me a hug. That is important to me, because I AM A HUG COLLECTOR and she did it because she is a wonderful person who truly has a compassion for her job. She was always amazingly attentive as a server, and used her knowledge of our likes to ensure the meal was perfect to our liking. She would excitedly tell us about the wine dinners and all the effort she would place into them. I am not a wine drinker, so we never attended but we could see her passion to work on these to get the best turn out she could for her location there in Ft Myers. She always took time to get to know her customers, and that is a plus. As for myself and my husband, we moved to Florida without knowing others here and she always made us feel like family to her when we would go. We made it almost a weekly stop to get the family time via her warmth and compassion, hugs, smiles and the food was a bonus. We love family owned businesses but Carrabba's has been our one exception due to the consistency of the service through people like Britany and the food is great as a plus. She actually is our friend as that is the type of person she is. We are old, she is young but that never matters to her. She is a gem for certain. We still go to Carrabba's here in Port Charlotte, but miss her expertise in service, her smile, her attention to our meal details, and her HUGS. Please consider her as your STAR and winner of any contest or event you are having. May God Bless you and yours this Christmas season. - Best wishes,...
Read moreIf you are thinking of giving Carabbas a try, don't- it's not a good choice and let me tell you about my experience after 5 years of not eating at a Carabbas...To be fair, the service was excellent and the restaurant was tastefully decorated but that's where the compliments stop. There's no doubt in mind that the quality of the food has changed for the worse. The Rosa chicken, bread, fettucini alfredo and fried mozzarella all tasted cheap and different from what I recall. I'm not sure if they are using a different vendor or just ordering cheaper ingredients from the same vendor , but it's obvious that the sauces were watered down and not as rich and vibrant as it once was. Sadly, the food just didn't taste as high quality as it was 5 years ago. I often notice quality and portions suffer a lot when restaurants are owed by large publicly traded corporations as this one is. Carabbas seems overly focused on the customer experience at the expense of their food. It was clear they spent a lot of time and money on their decor hoping you wont notice the reduction in their food quality but customers aren't stupid. Customers care more about the taste and quality of their food then how wonderfully decorated your store is. Carrabas needs to get their priorities in order and focus more on their food and less on the smoke and mirrors show they put on inside their stores. Also, my watered down fettucini Alfredo was served cool or room...
Read moreWe usually dine at the Carrabba's at Gulf Coast Town Center, but we were in the area and decided to give this location another chance, Fort Myers location on 41. The table the host sat us at had food and napkins under the booth, which was unsatisfying to begin with. We moved ourselves to another booth that was clean. After we received our appetizer and salads, the server did not check on us at all. We had to request for more water and after we had our entrees, no one checked on us. We were the only table the server had, but yet he had no time to check on us since he was too busy talking to the hostess the entire time we were eating. The service at this location has declined and it is really sad because the food at Carrabba's is great. That would be the only positive thing I can say about this experience, the food was delicious. I usually enjoy a chocolate martini for dessert, but my husband was so upset about our horrible service and the lack of attention from the server, he asked for the bill as soon as he was done. It says on my receipt the server's name was Desi S., but not sure since he didn't introduce himself at the start of...
