Our first order from here was about 6 weeks ago and we ordered take-out. We decided to stop in and eat tonight. What a great decision. We have a lot of experience with good Mexican food (Baja, Sonoran, Tex-Mex). This place is a rising star for so many reasons. It is located in the old Slates location and I can honestly say, I miss Slates, but damn this is a great Mexican Cuisine and atmosphere. We walked in and were seated immediately (no wait when it is still relatively unknown. We had interactions with the staff; one with the with hostess Michelle and with our excellent server Tino. They were both amazing and a lot of fun. The atmosphere of the place is so close to so many places that we have visited in Mexican destinations. The interior is so comfortable and relaxing. Now let’s get to the true reason we look for good Mexican food – the food. This is probably the most authentic Mexican food that we have had since we left AZ and moved to SWFL. We ordered the Combo #3 to split – an enchilada, taco, and burrito (different proteins for each) The salsa was amazing, but we love heat so we asked for more heat, Tino brought an amazing amount of heat salsa (only downgrade if given – a little too much nutmeg in the salsa). The three items, not to mention the beans and rice were authentic and awesome. Yes, this place is legit. I can say that we will be...

Second time here. First time sent food back and received mediocre food for a replacement. Manager kept apologizing for service and food quality. Tonight we decided to give them another chance. A few weeks later. Sat in bar, no one but us and it took grumpy bar tender 10 minutes to ask us for drinks. Another coupe came in for drinks and the rude bartender answered the woman’s questions with little regard. Finally got our drinks, ordered a long while later and waited, waited, waited. Both of our drinks were empty now for a long period of time and bartender did not even notice. Finally I asked for more drinks and he said ok. Thirty minutes into and no food. Bartender kept running back and forth with no regard for us or other couple. Now another couple comes in… Finally we had enough and I told bartender we want to settle up for drinks. I am not sure how this place gets a 4.9 review? We will...

Tried this place twice. First time was okay, had steak tacos and shrimp soup. Second time was awful. Chicken enchiladas were dry and the sauce was coagulated on top. Refried beans were inedible. Ordered a side of sour cream that took about 10 minutes to arrive. Service was absolutely subpar. Bartender actually disappeared for about 30 minutes so I couldn’t order another drink when I did the waitress was having to Google how to make the drink. Bartender was outside smoking the whole time in view of the restaurant. Husband ordered a beer at happy hour and it’s BOGO and they refused to bring them out separately so the 2nd beer gets warm. Some of the worst food and service we’ve experienced in Cape. We’ll be sticking...

Went today to check it out, heard great reviews so I had a buisness meeting dinner here & was very disappointed , ran out of chicken & other meats , no type of entertainment , was very quiet & definitely needs better management , unfortunately this place has been 4-5 Diffrent restaurants & unless somebody steps up to the plate & take control nomatter how much money somebody has a restaurant will shut down & people will stop coming ! I will admire the lemonade was good . Hopefully u guys get it together ,
