I was not happy with the bakery department today. I wanted to get a strawberry cheesecake which they've always had in the past. They are the best and it's my son's birthday and his favorite. All they had were plain cheese cakes and unbeliebly for the same cost as when it is made with strawberries. I asked if they could put strawberries and was told no, that they are busy and they don't have time for that. Those cakes are now special order ONLY. I went to another Publix near Pine Island and was told no again because the cake decorators were not there and those cakes are now special order. I had to buy the plain cake, strawberries, whip cream and glaze so that my son could have his cake. I guess Publix made more money off me since I had to spend more to get what I wanted. This is my local Publix which is the place I feel I spend at least 5 hours a week at shopping for my family and I love it! The customer service is always so friendly and courteous and not just to me but to everyone in the store which is a hard thing to do considering this Publix gets slammed some night and you still see every worker with a smile on there face and seeing if they can help in any way with finding things or walking your groceries to the car and when it comes to food they ALWAYS have the freshest produce and meats around and freshly made baked goods on sight and last but not least parking is always available with handicap parking for people who need it located all over right up...

Publix is my favorite grocery store in North Fort Myers and Cape Coral. I always find what I need and more at their store. They have a great selection of fresh produce, meat, seafood, deli, bakery, and dairy products. Their prices are reasonable and they often have sales and coupons. Their staff is friendly and helpful, and they always greet me with a smile. Their store is clean and well-organized, and they have a nice seating area where I can enjoy their delicious prepared foods.
