May 2018 Thirsty Restaurant, Vincennes St., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents and chatter. I tried something I never heard of before..The cold platter ...oh yes a cup of chili. The chili, house made. Just ok. Needed hot sauce to kick it up. The cold platter. It is a large chilled plate with your choice of egg salad, chickens salad etc. There are hard boil egg, fresh fruit, a dipping sauce, olives, veggies. Healthy stuff that is served cold. Something for a hot day... I found it light and a bit refreshing. Truly for the healthy folks. Simple but filling.. 9 bucks or so...You will not find this dish at many other places. I enjoyed it. Service was great. Well I finally got around to Thirsty. The oldest eatery in Cape Coral. It is not fancy but you get a warm welcome as if you have been coming here for years. At least that is how I felt. I was seated promptly ask for my drink & given a menu. Before I could peruse the menu my server sung out the daily special. Then gave me sometime. I order the home-made beef barley soup & special of the day stuff fish. The beef barley was great super hot and delish. Lots of beef & barley hardly any room for crackers. I was given a large portion of stuff fish and rice with a shrimp fill sauce. It was outstanding though a touch too much maybe of the sauce. Any way there was too much for me to finish so I needed a doggie bag. So if you desire good old fashion American food check this place out. This is for the safe diners not the adventurous kind such as myself

Pat was our server. She was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The stuffed fish with asparagus sauce (shown in pic) was delicious. The coleslaw and carrot salad were incredible. They make everything in house and homemade. The only thing I didn't like was the seating. It wasn't warm and fuzzy. The tabletops were silver metal and cold. Not a fan of that. Music was played on Alexa every now and then but not consistently. Will go back.

The original cape coral seafood restaurant. The exterior does not leave much to desire. The interior has been recently redone, current and clean! The food is always prepared quickly and it's tasty. Enjoy.

I discovered Thirsty's Restaurant last year after living in the area for more than 38 years. I know, right? I should be embarrassed! Don't let the name fool you. It should be named "Hungry's" The Food is A-Mazing!!! I am there enjoying Lunch or Dinner at least once or twice weekly. I also call ahead and pick-up Dinner on occasion. I think I have become their Biggest Fan! Jody.... I am In Love with your food!! I am a HUGE fan of Good Soups! The owner's Husband, Dan, is the Man responsible for making the absolutely Most Delicious Soups.... Ever!! Today I totally enjoyed the Cream of Chicken Soup! Chock full of the vegetables you'd expect to find in this classic. Tons of carrots, onion, celery, potatoes etc.... combined with super tasty chicken and blended with a rich & creamy flavorful base. I ordered one of the Specials of the day today... the Baked/Stuffed Fish Filet. I'm telling you.... I Dream about this Plate!! It has become my House Favorite. This tender filet of mild flaky fish is stuffed with a deliciously seasoned crab meat stuffing and topped with their Signature Asparagus Sauce and lightly dusted with Paprika.... OMG.... I think if you look up the word Delicious in the dictionary, there would be a picture of this Fish Dinner there!! Jody & Genevieve share the duties in the kitchen. These two women are Amazing Chefs. My Mother once owned a restaurant on Pine Island almost 40 years ago. Thirsty's embodies the wonderful things that I remember so fondly about my mom's place on Pine Island. Good People serving Good Food to Good Customers!! The menu is full of Great Choices to accommodate the likes of any diner. Thirsty's serves up a Fantastic Steak Dinner. The Seafood Choices are plentiful. I've enjoyed the Seafood Platter several times. A lot of Perfectly Prepared Seafoods on one plate...!! If you enjoy Liver & Onions, Thirsty's is one of two Restaurants locally that know how to cook it the right way!! The Pork Chop Dinner Shocks me every time I order it! Two huge Pork Chops Seasoned and Grilled to Perfection! After living in the Cape Coral/Ft. Myers area for almost 40 years, I can say I have eaten at most every restaurant in the area. The Seafood Dinners at Thirsty's rival any seafood dinner you'll find on the beach, Sanibel, or anywhere locally!! If you are not eating Seafood at Thirsty's you are not doing yourself justice. Thirsty's has the hands-down best seafood you will find anywhere!! The diversity of the Lunch and the Dinner Menus will satisfy the likes of any hungry customer that is longing for a Fantastic Meal at a Fantastic Price. The daily Specials offer you even more choices aside of the regular menu. Did you say you wanted dessert! My Server, Tina, created a One-of-a-kind Ice Cream Sundae for me that could only be found at Thirsty's. Big and Yummy are all I can think to say.... There is typically a cheesecake or baked pie choice. Sometimes cake. I am usually too full to order a dessert.! Do yourself a favor. Go to Thirsty's & eat some...

Well I found this place while sitting in my room wondering if there were any mom and pop shops around. I read the web site and in a narrative found some of the foods they cooked. With all the seafood listed on the dinner menu I asked for the lunchtime burger and they delivered. I love seafood but today just wanted a burger. Before I went there I called and asked if they had the cold beverage I liked. They did. So I walked about a half mile and enjoyed a nice homemade burger. Everyone there was awesome, polite and receptive. The food was great, the facility was still recovering from the hurricane, so I ordered extra food to go and left a nice tip hoping I could help out the family...
