Truly a disappointment. Pad thai is a staple dish I dont understand how a place can get it so wrong. If you want authentic, go elsewhere. I really wanted to like this place, but overall it just missed the mark. Pad Thai is such a staple dish usually a safe bet and reveals how authentic a place is but here, it was a sticky, bright orange lump with almost no flavor. I ordered the veggie version and it came with green beans and carrots, which felt more like filler than anything traditionally Thai. Authentic Pad Thai is usually more brownish due to a tamarind-sugar-fish sauce base. If that’s skipped or diluted, and coloring agents are added, it leans orange.

The Thai tea was overly sweet—like drinking a cup of sugar with a hint of tea. I get that Thai tea tends to be sweet, but both I and my kid found it way over the top.

Chicken satay was edible but bland, but the peanut sauce was super watery, which didn’t help things.

When I was out in Carlsbad for work, I decided to stop by here with some friends before I headed back home. This location can be easily missed as it shares the location with a Mexican restaurant. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to make it inside. They have a private room for karaoke or for small groups. There's fake floral sunflowers everywhere for decor.
