Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Carmel

Very disappointed. I’ve been to other locations and have had excellent quality food. I mean delicious. I expected to receive the same quality and flavor at this location but was sadly disappointed. My croissant sandwich had a very minimal amount of chicken salad on it. I felt as if I was just eating bread and lettuce. However, the taste of the chicken salad was very good! My 3 year old daughter even loved it and she is hard to impress! The sides were the worst part. The Mac and cheese looked and tasted burnt. The sauce was borderline brown and looked and tasted terrible. Again complete opposite to quality at other locations. My daughter’s kids meal came with a side of fruit and it was slimy and mushy. When I brought both sides up to the manager, he didn’t seem to really care and made it look like that was the normal quality of their product. After initiating if I could swap out the sides for something else, he accommodated which was nice. But honestly after spending $20 on a mediocre croissant sandwich and a kids uncrossable peanut butter and jelly, I don’t think I will be going back. At least not to...

Usually very nice, great service… the girl who waited this afternoon was NOT happy that customers came in at 740. She scowled, rolled her eyes. Made faces. It was clear that the store was prepared to close and leave at 8pm.

When I sat down to wait for my to go order, I noted to the customers right before me that she seamed upset and they noted they thought the same. When she gave them their order and thanked her, she made a face as they walked away.

She glared at me when She gave me my food and I opened the box to ask for crackers and she said she was sorry they were out in way that one could perceive….”no crackers for you” as she rolled her eyes… which led me to remark about her demeanor.

It is sad to feel like the enemy patronizing a business you enjoy…

My office is in Carmel and I eat out most business days. I've only eaten here twice now since it is relatively new, but I think it will be added to my favorites list of places I would frequent (my office is moving so I might not be in the area much longer). Food is good and the staff very friendly. I decor if fun also. Think of your countryish grandmother's house only upscaled and institutionalized in a very fund and nice way with bright, happy colors. I also love the origin story on the wall. In itself, not something that many other places will do, but I loved that it was a bit longer and shared the story without the language being overly "professionalized", as in scrubbed to sound business generic. It is more like you are sitting with the founder and she is just telling you the story. I found that refreshing and...
