For those staying at the Residence Inn, Soga is a very convenient and quality option for a drink and a meal.
Guests at the Residence Inn are charged a $40/day destination resort fee. However, one can apply that $40 for food at Soga (no alcohol or gratuity). For a single traveler, that’s a pretty great deal. For a family, maybe not so much.
As a solo traveler on business on an extended stay, I chose to eat at Soga almost every night. $40 goes a long way. A generous tip was my only out of pocket expense (charged to the room or cash on table).
The menu is somewhat limited, but everything is delicious! You can’t go wrong with the Churasco! The chicken wings are tiny, but taste great. You only get 6 so order a double if you’re hungry.
From my experience, there were only a couple of times where it took a while to get my food, but it was quality and piping hot. Most of the time, it was timely.
The servers are super friendly and if you stay more than a few nights, they make it a point to get to know your name. They are very attentive. I offer a special shout out to J C, Dealan, and Nazareth.
It’s understandable that if you’re here on vacation, you will want to venture out and try some wonderful local food. Just promise me you won’t get something you can...
Read moreLoved everything we tried during our stay at the Reaidence Inn. Some of the things we had were: The Soga Burger, The Boricua Wrap, one of their flatbreads, the Isla Verde Vibe (I believe that’s what it was called-it’s served martini style), Margaritas, some awesome local beers, & an Amaretto sour. All of it was really good! There was one gentleman that attended us both nights, but I cannot remember his name for the life of me. I want to say it starts with a J lol sorry! He was awesome, gave us lots of little tips on places to go to & was overall very attentive. Prices were expected to be a little bit on the higher end as it is a restaurant...
Read moreVery disappointing. our server was there quickly to take our order, so that was a good point. but it stopped there. it took about 30 min to get our glass of water and another 30 minutes to get three coffees which were cold it took over 90 minutes to get our food, which were quite simple orders. The salads we received was spoiled (see picture). the flatbreads were soggy. overall the food was overpriced. the floor manager did give us a discount on the salads but those salad should have never left the kitchen and someone in the kitchen should never serve such a salad. Marriott needs to do better than this....
