If you're on the hunt for some seriously satisfying wings in Chapel Hill, look no further than Wings Over. From the moment you walk in (or place your order online), you're greeted with the promise of a fantastic wing experience, and they absolutely deliver. What truly sets Wings Over apart is their incredible variety of sauces and dry rubs. Whether you're a fan of classic Buffalo heat, crave something tangy like their Honey BBQ, or feel adventurous enough to try the Jet Fuel (handle with caution!), there's a flavor profile to tantalize every taste bud. I recently tried their Garlic Parmesan and the Sweet Red Chili, and both were absolutely bursting with flavor – the Garlic Parmesan was rich and savory, while the Sweet Red Chili offered a delightful balance of sweetness and a subtle kick. Beyond the impressive sauce selection, the wings themselves are top-notch. They're consistently cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. You can choose between classic bone-in or boneless wings, and both options are generously sized. Plus, they offer a range of portion sizes, making it perfect for a solo snack or a group feast. But Wings Over isn't just about the wings. Their sides are also worth a mention. The waffle fries are a standout – perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. They also offer other tasty options like tater tots and onion rings, providing a great complement to your wing order. The service at Wings Over Chapel Hill is consistently friendly and efficient. Whether you're picking up an order or dining in, the staff is always helpful and ensures your experience is a good one. Online ordering is also a breeze, making it a convenient option for those busy days. Overall, Wings Over Chapel Hill is a solid choice for anyone craving delicious and flavorful wings. With their extensive sauce selection, perfectly cooked wings, and tasty sides, they've definitely earned a spot as a go-to wing destination in Chapel Hill. So go ahead, take flight with your taste buds – you won't be disappointed! My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars. Pros: Huge and delicious variety of sauces and dry rubs. Wings are consistently crispy and juicy. Generous portion sizes. Delicious sides, especially the waffle fries. Friendly and efficient service. Convenient online ordering. Cons: Can get a little busy during peak hours. Give them a try and let your...
Read moreCrazy how things can change in a few years. I used to love this place, especially because I used to work here, so I always had the food each day that I worked and was never tired of it. It genuinely hurts to have to review this place lowly.
I ordered food for pickup. The man on the phone sounded pretty rude and impatient. For what reason, idk since the place wasn't even busy when I came to pick up since the drivers or cooks were outside the building hanging out. He didn't even seem to know the menu that well since he took a while to get down what I wanted to order. You would expect them to ask what drink you want with your meal instead of asking 'what else'? I'm normally not a sauce person, but wouldn't other people have wanted ketchup or something with their tots. He didn't even ask about that. When I went inside, the man at the front basically ignored me for a few seconds while on his phone. Yes, I know there's ordering tablets, but they don't do pickups). When I was there, the rule was that when a customer came in, you had to put your phone away, but otherwise it was fine to use it. Guess that changed too. A different person handed me my order while the man processed my payment. We'll guess they didn't even look at what I ordered because they didn't even give me my drink. It wasn't even worth it to drive back or call back for compensation since I rarely came around here. They were not worth the $2 tip I gave them (I used to work the front so I know how nice it feels to get a tip, but they didn't deserve it). The only nice thing I can say is that the employees outside the building opened the door for me 🙄
Honestly I still prefer the old food quality more, but maybe my memory just makes it feel like it tasted a lot better.
On an alternate note, I miss the waffle fries and...
Read moreIf you are ordering an online pickup make sure you are already waiting in the store or they might give it to someone else. I had ordered a doordash PICK UP, same thing as their own pick up website and grub hub and all the other things they use to get their extra money. The orders was estimated to be picked up at 10:28 I had arrived at 10:32 and there was not clear enough communication when I arrived and I sat there waiting till 10:55 when they figured out someone else has grabbed my order. They sat there and told me well you are just gonna have to call doordash to get refund and tried to say I did doordash delivery and that it probably best me home saying it was my fault they gave my order to someone else…… that day was also my moms birthday, she passed away not even 2 months ago. I’m only 19 I about started to cry as I had worked all day was hungry and tired and already emotionally unstable. They had made me feel 10 times worse and ruined my night completely. Back to it, I had to explain it’s under doordash pick up not delivery if it was delivery I would have a completely different screen. I don’t even live within range to get a delivery. After calling doordash and verifying my ID for some chicken wings they were able to give me a refund. (Wings over could never give a refund as they will not own up to their own mistake and say the customer is wrong) I had replaced the order and got my wings……. Drove 5 minutes down to park and eat the food was room temperature and over cooked. I used to recommend wings over and even dropped 100s to cater so others could try them but I will never be doing that again and I will be contacting doordash to try to blacklist wings over. Highly don’t recommend until they get new...
