Worst service ever!! We came in, and no one greeted us. There was one person who came in before me. We both waited for 5 minutes while being ignored. After 5 minutes, his wife came in and asked if he got a table. He said no; they saw us and just walked right past us. They went to the checkout area to ask for a table and did the same. We got seated, but no one came to check on us for a whole 20 minutes (also, while we were waiting we heard lots of people were asking where was there food, how long is it going to be til they get their food? One older women came & was saying that they waited for long time, the other table that came after them already finished & others were saying they waited over an hour & a few others left.. like just walked out). We ordered Banh Bao and Bot Chien for appetizers, Mi Quang and Com Ga Xoi Mo for our main meal, and my husband ordered a lemonade. Food came out after 35 mins. My food came out 10 mins before my husband's. We had to get ourselves silverwares bo they weren't provided to us and my noodle soup had already came out & they NEVER checked on us so my husband went to their station and got it himself because he didn't want my food to get cold. Bot Chien never came. His drink never came until he half way finished his meal & HAD TO REMIND THEM after trying to wave them down bc they never came to check on us after taking our orders. Banh Bao 8/10. Mi quan 6/10 it was decent... could be better. Feels like it's missing a lot of flavors in there... just don't know what it is... Com Ga Xoi Mo 4/10.. my husband never throws away food, he barely touched his plate. Chicken was bland.. no flavor, the rice had a red color to it but again.. no flavors. I thought it was weird so I took a bite of his chicken.. and not only that there's no taste, there is a bad smell to it like the chicken hasn't been clean properly before frying!!
We finally finished eating, even helped them semi cleaned our table, husband already walked to the cashier area to pay while I'm still sitting at the table about to get ready to leave after I take a last sip of my drink and one of the lady came & ask "what about your Bot Chien? We're making it right now?" I said we're already done. Please cancel...
Read morePrice is expensive. I wanted a Banh Mi but they said it would’ve been a 30min wait because they didn’t have the ingredients ready. Instead, I got the bun bo hue and fried Squid. Fried squid was $7 and I only got 6 pieces. Wasn’t crispy fried, and felt way overpriced. Bun bo hue was okay. I like it spicy and this was pretty mild. I felt like it wasn’t anything spectacular, especially for a price of $11. You could literally go to any pho restaurant and get the same items for cheaper and with the same quality.
The absolute worst thing about this place was customer service. I had never been so furious with any service. My husband came in a day earlier and got his Banh mi in 8min and claimed they were amazing. I come in on a Sunday, did the same time as he did, but received the worst service. I waited 25min for my food, at that point probably should’ve gotten Banh mi if I knew it was going to be that long. Also, not sure where to wait, they really need a waiting area or something. They are very disorganized when customers come in. Some people with take outs would stand around inside the restaurant. You’d think they would asked take out people to wait outside or something.
Hoping in the future to come back and receive better service. I know they just opened and I should give them another chance. But wow first impressions...
Read moreI've come here a couple times, and it's always a nice quiet place to get a quick bite to eat. But this last visit was so phenomenal I HAD to review.
I brought my friend on a whim and we were just blown away by how amazing the food was. He had a stir fry, while I got a banh mi and a grilled pork chop rice plate. The banh mi was amazing as always, but the grilled pork chop was on a whole other level. It was so tender and juicy, and the marinade packed it full of flavor that seeped into the bed of rice below. And I just want to add--I don't know what they do, but even their white rice on it's own is super delicious and rich. I don't know how they do it. My friend also showed much appreciation for his food, and we were both beyond satisfied with how the food came out.
The cherry on top is that we got the meet the owner of the restaurant (he actually waited on our table!). He was incredibly sweet and personable and you could feel his passion for what he does. He was very excited about his newly printed menus with even more photos. He made his way around the tables and had conversations with the patrons and talking about his business, all the while delivering grade A+ service.
Amazing food served by amazing people, in a beautiful restaurant. What more...
