Snow City Cafe — Restaurant in Carrollton

I recently visited Snow City to try their bingsu, and overall, it was a good experience. I’m giving it 4 stars because while there were definitely highlights, there was also room for improvement.

First off, the service was great — fast, efficient, and friendly. We didn’t have to wait long for our order, and the staff made us feel welcome. The presentation of the bingsu was beautiful and definitely Instagram-worthy. The shaved ice texture was perfect: light, fluffy, and refreshing.

We ordered the mango and strawberry bingsu, which looked amazing when it arrived. However, the biggest downside was the mango. It was very hard and clearly not ripe, which made it difficult to eat and not as sweet or flavorful as I would’ve hoped. Considering how important the fruit is to a dish like this, it was a little disappointing. The strawberries, on the other hand, were fresh and delicious, and the condensed milk and ice cream on top tied the whole dessert together nicely.

I would definitely come back and try other flavors because the base of their bingsu is fantastic. But I do hope they pay more attention to fruit quality in the future. With perfectly ripe fruit, this place could easily be a solid...

I quite literally just waited 26 minutes for my shaved ice and taiyakis. And my shaved ice came first so it started to melt by the time I got my other things. I have never been here and dragged my sister with me and when I placed my order I had no idea there were to go containers, about two minutes after placing my order I asked the cashier to make it to go. He ended up refunding my ice and then I had to repurchase it. 5 minutes later it comes out in the normal in store dining one- he just stares at me and says “sorry it was already made” and so I just asked for a to go container so I could do it myself, like I had to refund and rebuy it and I couldn’t get it to go without asking? And then he brings it back out and hands it to me. I had to asked about the taiyakis and then they had just started making it. So I stood there for another 20 minutes waiting for them. I spent less time at Kura eating dinner than waiting for it. Sorry. It’s not worth that kind of wait.

Edit: I just ate some finally in the car on the way home. It was not good. All the ones served had tons of fruit and condensed milk, I had two strawberries in there? I just tossed it. I wish I hadn’t spend $25 there. Go to Somi...

This is for the first time that we have tried the shaved ice cream and we got here just by chance. It was delightful experience with flavourful ice creams. We have tried Mango Cake Bing Su, Mango and Strawberry, Oreo with cheese cake as topping and i must say we were really impressed and really liked it. The sweetness is just up to the mark i.e. It was not too sweet not too blunt. Flavour hots the bulls eye though the cheesecake was bit dry and the crust was little stiff but we can ignore that for now. The small size bowl was good enough for at least two people and large i think for four😂😂 We would like to try their shakes and coffee next time as it really looked tempting. The one thing we would definitely want to try the fish shaped teriyaki unfortunately they were out of stock at that time but my wife is fan of that we would gonna try that in future.
