I had lunch here with a friend and enjoyed it so much I decided to host a birthday party with about 20 guests. I called a few days in advance and asked to reserve one of their party rooms (they have several separate dining rooms) and told them the number of guests. I was told they do not accept reservations. For a restaurant of this size, a full bar and separate dining rooms I found this a little hard to believe. Still the food was so good we decided to hold the event there anyway.
The day of the party arrives and we show up with about twelve of the twenty guests in tow and I ask to speak to the manager about one of the party rooms which were vacant. I was told they would not seat us until all of he guests were there. I said I would like to reserve a room or at least a few tables to make sure we wouldn't be left standing during the dinner service. I even produced a credit card and said I would gladly make a deposit. They refused and said they would seat us when the rest of the guests arrived. We had people coming in from out of town so changing locations was easier said than done.
After a few more guests arrived I spoke to the manager and said we were only missing four guests, the restaurant and our party was getting tired of waiting around the lobby and politely asked if we could be seated. She said "no, only when all the guests ae here". I tried to call the remaining guests to see about a new restaurant. After a bit the manager walked up to our group and asked if the party was all here, one of the guests looked at our party and said a few were stuck in traffic". The manager said "tell me when they all get here" and went to leave.
I followed her and told her I had been polite, direct and tried to work with her unreasonable actions but I had my fill of her unprofessional behavior. It was dinner service, the restaurant was filling up fast, I tried to make her understand the situation and even offered to make a deposit and my guests were tired of waiting. She refused so I got louder and asked to speak to the owner immediately and demanded to be seated immediately and any other respectable establishment of that size had reservations. At the risk of making a scene she quickly backed down and seated the group.
Our waitresses were great! They took care of us with lot of refills, side dishes and asked us how we liked out meat cooked but when check time came they refused to split our checks despite repeatedly being told it was no problem. My guess is the manager did it to be petty but we all chipped in and the crises was averted.
Over all the food is great, the waitstaff was conversational and attentive, the management was terrible, unprofessional...
Read moreA group of colleagues and I came here to dine on a Friday Afternoon after work. When arriving, we were escorted to others in our group that was a “private” room. From this point the experience just went downhill.
The private room would have been nice, but there was a broken sliding door closet in the “private room” that was partially open. Inside were other employees I’m assuming on break that laid on the floor and played on their phones.
The Restaurant (empty of other patrons) was dirty. Crumbs along the baseboards, and dusty/cobwebbed on fake plants.
After arriving there was an abundance of raw food against the wall that was for the group to cook. It sat out uncovered from the moment we entered to the time we left.
There were 4 of us in the party that declined the “all you can eat 22.99” option and requested a menu for the regular entrees. The first menu brought was a happy hour menu, we order 2 drinks each which took an extended amount of time to get to the table because each was brought separately by different servers.
Prior to ordering an entrée, the staff quickly removed all of our eating utensils and plates. I’m assuming this was because we decline the buffet option. But now how were we supposed to eat our entrees?
4 Wait-staff spent time lighting 2 grills for the other portion of our group and ignored our end. The grills when lit smelled harsh and began smoking immediately, without new food on them. You could smell the grease/contents of old food, which let me know that these had not been cleaned. As well, the private room we were in was NOT ventilated.
After being ignored by staff for some time, we decided not to order entrees and asked for our checks. A server came out with a pen and paper and asked “What did you have”. After explaining who ordered what, she left and we waited…again.
After some time, a separate wait staff came to the table and tossed off all cards down then walked away without saying a word. Which I later discovered..THIS WAS THE MANAGER!
When reviewing our tabs, they placed 15% gratuity on each individual bill, and the “Happy Hour” Drinks were charged at full price. For the four of us it was about 25.00 per person. Making what would have been 8 Drinks, a total of 100.00 (FYI two of those drinks were regular Dr. Peppers.)
To sum it all up: dirty, rude, staff will ignore you, and they bait and switch prices. No POS system so if one person takes your order, another will later ask what you ordered, and the Manager will pass by later to throw cards on the table annoyed and walk away.
There's like 4 Korean BBQs in this shopping complex, my best advice, try one...
Read moreIt was dead empty, so I didn’t understand the waitress quickness with no greeting no how are you? , just straight out “ drinks?? “ When we barely had a second even sitting down had two new people with me who never been there before and doesn’t bother explaining anything looks at my fiancée and says “what meat” and we’ve been to the one in Arlington so we are used to 5 meats each person and sides , and they changed it and cut my finance off after the third one saying “only 3 only 3 meat for whole table ( keep in mind 30$ each person and there were four adults, talk about price gouging) “ , us not knowing try to reorder and get one meat and asked our friends if they wanted to try anything. Waitress instantly gets frustrated and cuts off my fiancée again rudely and in an aggressive tone. “You already got three “ cut to whole much more of her making rude unnecessary comments, and noticing my friends daughter who the host and manager asked for her age and we confirmed multiple times she was 3 years old, towers over her and asks twice again what age she is to see if she can charge her, we felt so uncomfortable we wanted to leave and they were so upset and petty that we were leaving that they were charging us 3-4$ drinks that's were yes opened but not even drank anything from (left on the table), and took a bowl of rice out of my friends 3 year old daughters hands when we were leaving!!! Please do not even come here it’s not worth the prices when they’ve shortened the menu, if you’ve eaten here you can clearly see they took off a lot of meat options and sides but are still charging 30$ and the area is not even a good ambiance there are way better Korean bbq spots in Carrollton , if you’re paying 30$ I expect a nice server 🙄 a great ambiance and patience not rushing me and talking over me like if I’m not the customer and being snarky please go spend your money anywhere else where they care about customer experience , on top of it all we came from fort worth cause I liked the alrington location so much but I guess they’ve...
