Yesterday my mom and I met my sister and her family here for Mother's Day lunch. The diverse menu was perfect for the 6 of us. Some of our faves were the craft beer selection, the figgypiggy pizza and the colossal cookie. The problem came in terms of the service. It was a nice sunny day with a decent southern breeze, breezy enough that we opted for a table inside and were sat in the front corner between 2 doors leading to the patio. Right away we noticed when the waiters used the north door, it caused a giant gust of wind across our table. It was unpleasant and annoying and obvious. It also didn't happen when the west door was used. We politely asked if they'd mind using the west door (which was 5 steps away) and they agreed. But then they didn't do it. Thinking maybe it was just out of habit, we locked the north door. They just unlocked it and continued using it. My mother went to speak with the manager but the hostess said she'd take care of it and proceeded out said door, spoke to the customers (not sure why) outside, and came back in the SAME DOOR! By the end of our meal, the waitress was going out the door, holding it open with her foot while clearing a table and coming back inside. There were some additional issues like an unwillingness to refill drinks, but nothing so blatantly and intentionally rude. Due to our busy schedules, our family doesn't get together often and we are always looking for a favorite meeting spot. We had high hopes for this place. But we don't want to waste our precious time and money where we clearly...
Read moreAn hour for take out on a Tuesday afternoon that seemed excessive based on the business I saw and product I received.
When I arrived in store for pick up the gentleman at the front was fine. However, he really just stood there in the 15 minutes I waited for my food. Now normally I wouldn’t care but the place was dirty. The floors had what I’m guessing were straw wrappers and crumbs all over. Plus their front door was just gross full of greasy handprints. I almost didn’t want to enter.
The food was ok. The Detroit pizza was good but at $21 for a pizza the size of a piece of paper I expected better quality toppings. The sauce was decent but the pepperonis reminded me of something from a frozen pizza.
The garlic knots were dry and flavorless and thrown away after my family each tried one. Seriously huge balls of dry dough with very little outside coating.
I counted 1 additional take out order besides mine and 3 tables total in the time I was there. No reason for such a long wait for the food.
I was excited because I live very close but I would rather drive a distance for better food and value. I would note I am happy to pay these prices at Cadillac Pizza because I can see the quality ingredients and understand the...
Read moreWe were genuinely excited for this new restaurant to open near our house, and on the food front, it absolutely delivered. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. From appetizers to dessert, the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing — the food and beer selection deserve high praise.
Unfortunately, the service fell far short of the same standard. Our experience with the hostess was uncomfortable from the start — she was purposely dismissive to the point of being rude. Once seated, requests such as needing drink refills were treated as an imposition. Used dishes were never cleared, even as new courses arrived, and when dessert came, we weren’t given clean plates or fresh utensils. The lack of attention to basic hospitality really detracted from what could have been a fantastic experience.
Overall, the front of the house is just poorly managed. I even noticed with reviews — good reviews are praised, and bad reviews are simply ignored. I hope they get some professional management soon because, again, the food is excellent.
We genuinely hope this place thrives. The food deserves a loyal following. But unless the service improves significantly, we’re hesitant to return or recommend...
