Texan Wangbal - Jokbal, Bossam — Restaurant in Carrollton

Don’t go there if you don’t speak Korean !! One of our friends had a meal with her Korean friends there and liked it. So she asked us to go. This time obviously is different situation. None of us spoke Korean. We not only had language barriers but were given very cold poker faces。。。。 We felt the the table was really tight for 6 people and asked if we could move to the neighboring table. Initially we were told that it was reserved but finally they agreed. The dishes themselves were fine. We ask extra lettuce to wrap the pork and finally found the bill the 5-6 pieces lettuce was &4.99!!! When finished, we found the small box they gave for leftover was too small and asked for another one, the answer was 50 would be charged! This was first time in my life they the restaurant charge their customers for bring-home box!

Finally it came the most disturbing part. When we were packing the left over and kept chatting, the waitress showed up and told us the people who reserved the table was here and we needed...

I had a very bad experience today. We took our son out for his birthday lunch. We ordered quite a lot for a party of four. So the bill was not small. But when I politely asked for some spicy sauce, the waitress looked at me with a weird look and said NO. “No sauce!” I was shocked, thinking that she might not understand English very well. So I came to the counter and asked another lady who I believe was the owner. I received the same look! I was not coming to beg for free food. We paid the bill! No respect/care is what we got. The jokbal was bland, and that’s why I need the sriracha. After a while and a few times repeating my request, I got the sriracha with an unfriendly look from the owner. I wasted my time and money dining there. I will never return to this place. I just read another review down here and agreed with the author 100%: “Don’t go here if you don’t speak Korean.” They looked as us like we were stupid! I think they don’t care how we feel. The food is not cheap...

Come here if you want to get judged and discriminated by the old Korean lady server(perhaps the owner). She’ll be nice if you are Korean, but if you not Korean I don’t recommend coming here.

It’s was our first time coming here and will be the last time. When we first walked in, a young girl seated us and served us and everything was going smoothly great, then this old Korean lady(maybe the owner) starting roaming around our table and checking everyone on the table from head to toe, and she started give us looks of judgments and keeping staying around at our table making all of us feeling very uncomfortable.

Later, when we asked her for some Togo boxes she only give us two small boxes, we ordered $120 worth of food, and we ask for two more she said we have to pay an extra dollar for two more small Togo boxes. Not only that she ask us to put extra dollar on the tip on our bill in a very rude manner while watching...
