I came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday on 9/29/2019 and having spent nearly 200 dollars me and my family got kicked out of the party section 30 mins after still waiting for our food to arrive. To top it off the employee that came to tell us to mention that the manager said we had to pay 60$ if we wanted to sit there, mind you it was about an hour and a half before closing time. I said no thanks, and asked if it was fine to sit in the next to the party section and he said he would ask to make sure but never came back to confirm with us, so we moved to the smaller table that only fits 4 people per table, so we waited over an hour to get our food it’s 8:45pm now and our guest and I are almost done eating and the same employee comes to tell us that we had to move to some other table because they were closed but mind you it’s 8:45 and I told him that Chuck E. Cheese didn’t close until 9 and his response was that his manger told him to tell us that. At this point I was furious. I went to speak to one of the manager I don’t know her name but she said that she wasn’t the one who had order him to move us that it must of been the other manager name Bertha who supposedly wasn’t there anymore which didn’t make any sense to me. She also said that the other manager must order that because some of her employees had to leave at 9pm sharp and that they needed that section cleaned before leaving. One of the employee had approach us afterward seeing us complain to the manager and told us that they don’t charge to sit by the party section that it’s free if it’s unoccupied and as I mentioned there was Nobody, besides me and my family right there before we got kicked out from the party section. Plus the party section was already really Dirty!!!! Also, forgot to mention one of the employee who tried to help us got in trouble or fired because once we walked out of Chuck E. Cheese she was crying in the parking lot. Furthermore, they did NOT check any persons stamp once people were walking out of the restaurant. I honestly have to say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Chuck E. Cheese in this particular location mind you I’ve been to several different locations very poor customer service, tables were dirty for over and hour and children’s safety were put at risk during closing hours or at least that what I observed, so who knows how often this location actually checks...
Read moreNope. They didn't even have straws amongst other things. And they should have been nicer about it. Upsetting when you pay ALOT! for food and games. It seems like there is no manager/management. The employees are all doing whatever they want (ie hiding) and disorganized while not caring that children's birthday partys are being ruined. Really sad. I get that people become desensitized but try to retain a bit of compassion. At least have a supervisor on the floor. If there was a supervisor staffed no one acted like it. Were they hiding in a back office hoarding the store's out-of-stock straws? People can have off days, of course, but everyone there had the same attitude. I was at the food pick up window to ask what was going on after 30 minutes passed without our order of wings being ready. The employees that walked by would purposely avoid eye contact so they wouldn't have to be responsible for resolving an issue. When I waved someone down inside the kitchen after no acknowledgement at the window (heads down no eye contact, looking in the opposite direction) they got some wings, added the sauce then gave it to me. Why wasn't that done 20 minutes earlier if it's that simple. They hadn't even started on the pizza. And no, they weren't backed up, really! They literally found my ticket, read it then clipped it up and started working on it. Look, this is still a workplace not a child's backyard party....
Read moreI first would like to give all the kudos and flowers to Chuck E. Cheese employee Thomas. He was the only employee who gladly did his job and interacted with us parents and our children with patience and grace. Every time I needed something, he was there..at the front register for helping with E-tokens, the prize counter, and in the back where the kitchen serves the guests. He was literally all over the place. When my food was ready, I went to the counter, a female employee, who looked miserable, looked at me, didn't greet me, then walked out of view, and that's when Thomas stepped in and handled it all. When paying for my order, the manager did not honor the coupons my child's school gave us to use there, which expired in December 2024. I'm not sure why..he didnt give a proper explanation on why he wouldn't honor the unexpired coupons. I told him I didn't mind calling the corporate office to get it situated. My question to all the young employees..why on earth would you apply to and work for a company that caters to children and their parents, if you don't have that magic in your heart to make their experience special. Thomas has a heart of gold, and not only did his job, but went above and beyond and deserves recognition from the administrative staff. Good luck with whatever path you take, Thomas. We...
