We should have connected the dots before going in, all the other restaurants were packed, this parking lot was near empty...first clue. The place was near empty when we went in, but we were told a 20 minute wait...second clue. Our waitress did take our order pretty quick, but did not really seem she cared too much. Our kids meal arrived quickly, but with no cutlery. We asked for cutlery and were told they would get us "too go" cutlery in a package once they find them. About 15 minutes later, the first set off plastic cutlery arrived, but they were still looking for more. We were also informed our waitress had quit and they were not sure if she had placed our order before quitting. Oh my God, this is a gong show. About 30 minutes after the kids meal arrived, some of the drinks arrived, but one didn't...no cups. So a few minutes later, out comes my drink in a Styrofoam cup. This is going down hill real fast. We got a new waiter, will give him credit, he was the ONLY reason we stayed as he was put in a tough spot, he was serving ALL the guests by himself. Man he worked hard and kept a sense of humor. He should run the place. Finally, after about an hour, the rest of the food started to arrive, wow, quality was so bad that we actually refused the chicken that was served. It was so dry and over cooked, that we broke a plastic knife (not joking) trying to cut it. The manager came out to talk to us, she agreed the chicken was not good, but also said that's the way its been happening for a few days now, she would cook some more, but for a minute shorter. We refused having chicken cooked less then it should, just fix the problem. They offered us a brownie and we said yes. Guess what, no dessert brownies left now...after waiting almost 30 minutes. They were going to get us a birthday brownie instead. After another 30 minutes, we just asked for the bill. When we're got it, we were shocked to see they charged us full price for the food we refused, the food that was so over cooked it broke the knife. We still didn't get the brownie and now we're really upset. So one of us actually went back to the kitchen and asked for it since now we couldn't find a single employee. Funny thing happened, the waitress who quit, came back and got us a brownie. This place is a joke, should be shut. The manager did nothing to address our concerns. Close the doors and regroup before opening the doors. By far, the best comedy routine we had experienced. If not for the Applebees name on the menus reminding us where we were, we would have mistaken it for a comedy dinner show. Disgrace to the...
Read moreMy experience at this establishment started out good as far as the waitress goes and taking our orders but things quickly took a nose dive when I was told that I could not get my entire appetizer because they were missing chips for the spinach and artichoke dip. I ordered the trio appetizer wings, eggrolls, and spinach dip but because they did not have the chips for the one item they refused to make the entire order Which they say is due to price which I’m pretty sure they could’ve just took off whatever chips may cost by themselves to make up for the difference but instead they refuse to make everything else that came with the order even though I told them I did not mind the order without the chips but because it was my child’s birthday I decided not to take it further and ordered something else speaking of which after informing the waitress that it was my child’s birthday she asked me again SHE ASKED ME if I would like the waitresses and servers or staff to sing to my child for her birthday which I happily replied yes she goes talks to the manager and comes back and tell me that they do not do that… if you did not do it then why offer they did do it except for I guess because of the color of our skin they did not want to Did I let that go as well yes only to then be met an aggravating amount of time later with cold food clearly the food had been prepared for a great amount of time before it was served in which I seriously doubt was not on purpose at first I felt sorry for the waitress because I felt it was not her fault and did not want to blame her for something she did not do but towards the end of our being there her attitude changed as if she was being annoyed by us for being annoyed at this less than zero star service which reduced her tip a significant amount that she could have had from me and that I was well prepared to pay had her attitude not changed I will never in my life step foot in this establishment or pay one penny at this establishment ever again I’ve been to Applebee’s establishments in poor neighborhoods and got greater service then I...
Read moreMy family of 5 decided to have dinner at this applebees today and I wish we hadn't. As soon as we walked inside I got the feeling that dinner was going to be bad, but I didn't follow my instincts and instead of leaving we stayed. The two young ladies at the welcome booth did not greet us at all. Almost like they were trying to give us a hint to not eat there. Once we were seated I noticed the air was a little muggy as if the ac was on it's last life line. The waitress came over and did greet us and was very pleasant. We ordered the appetizer with the boneless wings, chips and dip, chesse sticks, and mini tacos. We got our drinks quickly and waited a long while for our appetizer. The waitress did come over and tell us our appetizer should be ready shortly, but she could go ahead and place our dinner orders while we wait. By the time our appetizer came it was cold. The chesse sticks were so bad I had to inform the waitress how awful they were. She apologized and brought us some fresh ones. The chips were stale as if they had been unsealed for days. The dip was lukewarm. The boneless wings were also lukewarm but tasted ok at best. The mini tacos were good. Me and my son ordered the bacon burger with fries. The burger was ok, but would've been great if it was hot and not dry. Fries were cold and unpleasant to eat. My daughter had the baby back ribs. She hated her food so much she took it home and fed it to our dog Bella. My wife had the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. She said her steak and mashed potatoes were good, but her steak was a little over cooked and her green beans were just disgusting. And my 2 year old daughter had chicken alfredo which she barely ate. I spent 140.00 including the waitress tip. We could've ate at Texas roadhouse across the road and had a wayyyy better dinner. I will never eat at this applebees again. In fact, after this experience, I may never take my family to any...
