Went through the drive-thru, noticed no one was inside, only 1 or 2 cars in the parking lot, and pulled right up to the order point. Really nice lady taking orders, that went smoothly, we added some apple pies to the order and the lady said those have to be cooked it will be 5 minutes... WHAT A JOKE that turned out to be! Got to the window, sat a few minutes, then made it to the window, got our drinks and was asked to pull up, We did and we sat there 10 minutes passed, then 15 minutes passed, then 20 minutes passed, 25 minutes passed, and when we hit 30 minutes we went inside to ask what was going on. On of the employees said we have a lot of call in orders..... and to boot were a little snippy. Walked out with the food and LUCKILY we checked it! Started pulling things out of the bag that we had not ordered. Got to the 4th item in the bag and finally hit something that we had ordered. I took the bag of NOT OUR ORDER food. After standing there a minute after watching the employees whisper back and forth, one of them said we will be with you in a moment. I had to just spoke up as I dropped the bag of food on the counter saying this is not my order! Thought I saw an eye and then the female I believed to be the manager, aka Eye Roller soon to be Mrs. Snippy, walked up and started pulling food out of the bag, opening it and saying what it was. The are your finger in sauce and dropped them on the counter, I said "did not order that", these are your red beans and rice and dropped those on the counter, and again "did not order that", this is your dirty rice and again dropped it on the counter, and yet again I said "did not order that either", the magical 4th item, the are the plain fingers and crumbed the box closed, and then I said "well we did order those". Here is my receipt. She finally realized that was not our order. And then started playing dumb and asking well who's order is this... NOT where is my order at. She said your order is here some where, we will find it. We just have a lot of phone in orders. I followed up yeah but I am HERE and have been for over 40 minutes now and no food. At a loss for words and repeating we have a lot of phone in orders.... I said just give me my money back!!! Since she attempted to do that, at that point is where I believed she was the manager. Several hard finger hits on the register and about 18 to 20 swipes of her card the drawer open and I eventually got my money back. 50 minutes after the time stamp on my receipt I drove away with no food, pathetic excuses, proof of horrible time and order management and horrible customer service. I truly understand short staffed but all I can do is shake my head. First the food at Popeye's is normally really good, I guess if you can get it. Needless to say I went down the road to CFA and in a massive cluster of cars in the drive-thru, was treated as a valued customer and was in and out in just under...

Requested pick up for 6:50 PM. Arrived at 6:53 PM. Attended to by a polite and pleasant young lady at the counter at about 6:56 PM. She could not find my order in a pile of receipts next to the printer on the counter next to her register, but after a couple of minutes of searching she finally discovered it by scrolling backward in the over headwork screen used for fulfilling orders. My order had been bypassed and removed from view. I don't know if it was cancelled or just scrolled past.
I was informed by the very polite and pleasant young lady at the counter at 7:10 PM that my order was just now being dropped into the fryer. I was quite surprised and frustrated given that I had been standing in the restaurant for over 15 minutes at this point and no action had been been taken to get my order in the fryer before 7:10 PM.
Was handed my order at 7:20 and wished a good evening. I wish the polite and pleasant young lady a good evening and left and climbed in my truck.
I have eaten at Popeyes consistently for the last five years, in Jasper Georgia most frequently. This is my first trip to this Popeyes here in Cartersville Georgia and I have to say that is hands-down, the single longest time I’ve ever had to wait for an order in a fast food restaurant much less considering that I ordered it online nearly 20 minutes before arriving at the restaurant. 40 minutes from order to pick up is not a standard any restaurant should aspire to.
It is noted that the drive-through is busy and the staff was consistently turning cars orders through the drive-through quite rapidly. However my call in order, not only passed over without beginning preparation once I arrived it took nearly 15 minutes before my order preparation was even begun.
I won’t be giving up on Popeyes because it is the best commercial fried chicken I have found, but I will be giving up on this location. Spending $50 for fried chicken, I think it would be at least reasonable to expect that it be ready at the time agreed to during the order process online.
To add the final insult to the injury, it is now 745 I have just arrived at home and I’m unpacking my bag and have discovered that the eight biscuits which are included in my family order are not present.
I am really trying to maintain decorum but I can assure you I will never set foot in that Popeyes location ever again and if anyone ever asks me I will advise them to avoid it...
Read moreI would give 0 stars. I’ve been here 3 times: The first, I waited in line for 50 minutes which was halfway expected due to it being new. Now, weeks later I visited again for a second time around 12:00 noon and the drive-thru employee informed me that they were “out of the sandwiches and all tenders for the day” which immediately floored me so I asked how that was possible to which she replied “we’re out”. Now, I’m not sure what kind of restaurant runs out of 90% of their menu at noon on a Friday but okay.. I left feeling like I had been completely lied too. My third visit was a three-part visit (at this point mainly for the LOL’s): I went around 1 pm to [try to] get the new sandwich and the employee told me it would be a 45 minute wait so I drove back in 45 minutes and they told me another 45 minute wait, I went across the street to Aldi and then came back in 15 minutes, the employee told me 30 minute wait so that seemed to be correct.. We sat inside waiting for 30 minutes, meanwhile they wouldn’t let us pay for the sandwich “until it was done” which I thought was odd (along with many other people waiting around too) - Needless to say, 30 minutes later we walked out after the employee said they “sold all of them and it is another 45 minute wait”... to which I gave her a mouth full of how it is literally impossible for them to have cooked them while we were sitting there watching AND sell them all out when we were all sitting there watching. Another lady waiting threw an absolute fit because again, how is that even humanly possible? They didn’t go out the drive-thru? Unless they literally only cooked 2 chicken patties in that 45 minutes? Or unless the employees ate them themselves? Insane experience with this location. As a former GM of Chick-Fil-A, I can say I am ashamed of our new local Popeyes service and employees. Popeyes would do their customers a better service by shutting this location down until it has proper management and staffing, than keeping it...
