I used to visit their old location before it closed, and it always felt more family-oriented. The staff back then were nice, welcoming, and gave the place a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the new location is a completely different experience.
To start, the two ladies working there are consistently rude and have bad attitudes. A simple smile goes a long way in hospitality, and it’s something they really need to work on. For the prices they charge, you’d expect at least some friendliness. On top of that, they seem stingy with napkins, salsas, and even basic things. People don’t like going to a restaurant, paying high prices, and then being “nickel-and-dimed” over small things like that. People also don’t appreciate rudeness when they’re paying for a meal.
The food is still generally good, but it tastes a little different than it used to. The salsas have spice but no real flavor. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Mexican hot dog. Everything else was just okay, and I probably won’t be back.
Someone told me they just don’t like white people; I don’t know if that’s true, but with those attitudes, I can see why the old location may have closed, and I doubt this one will last long. Hospitality is part of the restaurant experience, and when the staff are unpleasant, it really takes away from the meal. I’m not sure if they’re the same owners or not, but the vibe has definitely changed for the worse.
If you’re looking for better options in the area, I’d suggest Nico’s in Eloy or Taco Spot, which is actually in their...
Read moreI got to say the place is legit - I think it is just the simplicity of how the food is cooked. The carne asada mesquite flavor is just there no seasoning or marinate simply salt and pepper. If you know tacos like me, you know the salsa gives the flavor to the taco. The Cabeza tacos have that Tijuana Flavor. (These are by far my favorite)The carne asada tacos get close to just need a little something but what makes them tacos great is the hand made corn tortillas it just adds that special touch to the tacos. Also the menudo is by far the best menudo (even better than Manuel's) specially with those corn tortillas just melting in your mouth. (Kudos to whoever makes them) - and if you add the service always cordial and with a smile along with the clean tables outside if you want to eat with this nice cool weather, this is my new...
Read moreDelicious food served to me quickly. Service was very polite, professional, and efficient in serving my order to me. My husband and I ordered street tacos. There was a delicious variety of tacos and other foods to choose from, and we also ordered soft, flour tortillas for the tacos. It's like you can see "abuelíta" (grandma) in the back, making your tortillas fresh for your tacos. And, the salsas are "picóso" (spicy), and guacamole sauce is delicious! Extra (free) ingredients, like lemon, cilantro, cabbage, onions are included, and they're very generous with them. Keep up the great...
