This Panda on Florence Blvd is the worse. It is always low on entrees and chow mien. It’s almost as if they wait till someone walks in and orders before they make more when they’re out. They always short you on chow mien and is disturbing they think it’s acceptable when others give 2-3 times more. The wait time at this location is absurd considering all the locations I’ve been to in my life. The drinks always seem to be watered down, over carberated and/or always out. You won’t know until after you order and they make it a hassle to get money back once you do. Many times when I had to wait for them to cook what they were out of, they never gave me and sent me on my way to find out later, just to return. Last time I went there (today), I said the chew mien was not enough and way too small in portion size. The worker shrugged her shoulders and said, “that’s all we give”. I replied with, “No thanks and I’ll go to one on Pinal, as they always give proper amount” Do yourself a favor and go to the other location that was opened on Pinal. Service at Pinal location is super friendly, fast, always has entrees ready to serve.
This review on the Florence location is in observation of over the last 5 plus years I’ve came. I’ve mentioned my concerns several times to the managers and while they seem sorry the bad service happens, nothing changes. I’m confident when I say I believe it is the managers who tell the employees to skimp the customer. This location is poorly managed and it has shown throughout the years.
All in all, I’m glad there is a new Panda location and they will get my family’s business from now on. Again, avoid the Florence location as it has the worst service I’ve ever seen at any Panda, which I’ve never seen any other with such poor service.
Disclaimer: This review is not intended to bash the Panda Express Florence location, however is intended to express my family’s experience in the past several years of coming to it. It is my opinion and recommend others to not only be weary of coming here, but to by all means avoid. I want to mention there has been several times the food was not kept at proper temperature and at best questionable. I highly recommend going to the new Pinal location even if it is a farther drive. Read moreI tried to eat what was on my plate, but ultimately the food was poorly prepared, and almost seemed rushed so I paid $10 dollars for food that wasn't prepared properly, didn't agree with my stomach, and made me nauseous. When I asked for my money back, the entire staff handled the situation unprofessionally, and as a result i've wasted my time and money. When I asked to speak to the owner, the general manager insisted I call tomorrow, but even when I called today, no one answered, so even the communication is poor. The best part, I warned the GM about the review I would write after the fact, and she told me to go ahead and write the bad review, then she proceeded with a fake apology saying she was "sorry" she couldn't help me, but lets be real here, it was $10 dollars and she very much so could have refunded me that amount. I'm not stupid, and I don't appreciate being told my money can't be refunded even though I was extremely dissatisfied with the food- as a result I will be telling everyone, from this point on, not to even waste their time and money at ANY Panda Express, thus declining the companies future sales more than the $10 dollars I asked for back. After being a regular at this location for about 6 months I feel that I can give a fair review for this place. First, although I never eat in restaurant I can tell that they keep the place exceptionally clean which is great. They’re also good about filling items that are missing right away. The reasons for why it doesn’t score higher all generally revolve around service. It seems like every time I go in there the staff is extremely displeased with me being there. I’m not saying that they should sound overly enthusiastic every time a customer walks through the door. Obviously they probably run into a lot of rude, picky people and it’s probably extremely frustrating for them, but I try and go out of my way to make my order as concise as possible and be very polite with them. Still the same outcome though. I’ve also found that over the last couple months my order has been wrong quite a few times and while I rarely bring it up in the moment (they’re usually extremely busy when I come by and I don’t want to make their jobs more difficult than it is) it still makes me want to come here less and less.
