If I can give a Zero! Star I would do it. The service was a terrible experience for a local senior citizen and customer like myself it should never had happened. I was disrespected and talked down to. By the service women that by the way refused to give me her name. I found her name on the paper bill Eva #130. I have worked in the merchant services business for several years. Servicing businesses of all kinds with their merchant services. Retired now I held certifications with Visa, Master Card, Carta Blanc, and American Express. So I know a little about the Florida state laws on Merchant services. I walked into this establishment to have a fast lunch with my wife. The server was this elderly lady dressed in a black leotard the ones young ladys use to go to the gym. At first she took our order. As I was using the napkin dispenser we notice there was a white computer generated cardboard notice on all dispensers that reads 3% sur charge if paying with a credit or debit card. Pay cash no sur charge. We finished eating and she gave us the bill. Well my wife and I did not have cash on us, usually we do not carry much cash. If I would have seen the notice posted we would have never ordered. I tend to not order in places that carry these type of notices of sur-charges on used cards. So, when the server came back to collect the payment I told her that I only carry cards for payments and that I understand that putting a sign up on all napkin dispensers to notify customers of the charge in payments is concerning. Well, this servers attitude and demeanor changed. The first thing she said was well if you cannot pay the bill I can call the police. Wait what! I never said I was not going to pay the bill. I asked her I would like to speak to your boss right now! she replied "I am the boss." This really aggravated me to notice how an employee actually refuses to disrespect a customer like that. I told her by the way the reason I want to speak with the owner is to suggest that he should hire respectful employees one, and if he is going to charge a sur charge he should have a big enough sign in front of the cash register. That way all clients can see and decide if they want to pay your businesses credit card surcharges. Putting it on napkin dispensers once the customer was sitting down and ordered seems to me like a customer price trap. Besides I understand this because of my merchant account experience. the law says: Display: "The surcharge amount must be clearly displayed before the customer completes their purchase..." We saw the notice after we had already ordered and the food was served. Law says, Notice: "Customers must be informed of the surcharge in writing. Again what choice did we have when we where already served. Law says, Cost: "The surcharge cannot be more than the merchant's actual processing cost." How would regular customers know the actual personal business processing surcharge fee cost? Now when she saw that she was talking to someone that new what I was talking about she got even angrier because some customers where listening to the conversation. She looked like she did not want the information put out there. So, she repeated the pay your bill or I will proceed to call the police. What a disrespectful employee. So, since she did not want to call the owner or give her name I decided to ask her, There is a Publix next door. I am going to buy something and get cash back for the amount of the bill. Publix does not charge me there surcharge for the use of a card. So, I went to the Publix and got the cash needed to pay the bill. The interesting thing about this is that my wife stayed behind outside the establishment while I went to get the cash. My wife told me that this server came out the pizza store twice to see if I had gone without paying. Even thou she saw my wife standing outside waiting for me to come back to the establishment. When I got back to pay the bill she still was talking back to me in an agitated way. I have taken the time to write this long review to acknowledge the way...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is terrible. I can't even rate the food because it was never even made. Called ahead for a take out order and was told 25 min. I arrived after 30 expecting to walk out with our food. I paid and was told it would be "just a minute". The order was a small pizza, calzone, and 2 salads. I waited outside a while with some other people who were frustrated at how long it was taking. When there was space inside I went in to check on the order. I asked for an estimate of how long it would take. They were having trouble finding it and read back the wrong items. I had been there long enough to see what was being made and what was in the ovens, and none of it was mine. It had been nearly an hour at that point and so I said that if they hadn't started making it to just refund me and I'd go somewhere else. They looked through some random boxes on top of the oven that had been sitting there and said they weren't labeled so they didn't know who they belonged to. Then the cashier said they weren't authorized and only the manager could refund me. She called over who I can only presume was the on duty manager who got on her phone and said she was texting the manager for approval (she said he was busy making pizzas at another store). Then she said he would have to refund it later. I asked for a receipt for the refund and was told it would be at least 24 hours before it got refunded and promised they would. I insisted on some documentation and stated they could just claim I took my food and left and never refund me. The reaction from the on duty manager and cashier were to scoff and mock me for even suggesting this, stating, "Why would we do that? I'm sorry your humanity has been ruined." I stood there a minute longer while the manager was being texted and the on duty manager then stopped and asked me what I was waiting for, mocking me again for asking for a receipt. "So what did you want from me, something in writing or something?" I was assured it would be handled and since there was nothing I could do, I left without my food or receipt. Guess who got charged and didn't get a refund? Now I have to dispute with my credit card.
Oh an not one apology for wasting my time while I waited on sloppy service.
Disrespectful, rude people don't deserve my business.
Give realistic estimates. I don't care if the food takes an hour. Tell me an hour and I won't drive up and stand outside.
Don't go here. There are way better options and they'll actually...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis evening, we went to Anthony's for dinner and had to walk out. The Server was Loud, Crue, disrespect to a table of 5 elderly people. The gentleman had asked for menu's, and she started stomping her feet and thrusting her arms, and said loudly, didn't I say, I was getting the menu's?! Omg! How disrespectful and sickening, to say the least! Earlier, an elderly man came in and she shouts, dine in or take-out?! He didn't respond quick enough, and she or not! I don't know if she was High, Drunk or Mentally not well, but she was very Unprofessional, Rude and Disrespectful. When My 14 year old daughter, asked what is wrong with our sever, I knew I had to leave. She was shouting at all of us, when taking our order. Unbelievable! Rushing us, to the point we couldn't look at our menu's. They have a help wanted sign on the door, ya think? I've been coming her close to 18 years, with my company, Volunteers, friends and family, and Never once, have I experienced this Horrid Behavior. We changed our dine in, to take out. The food is great, like back home in New York! We even got a few packs of the cookie baskets for Christmas and everyone loved them. I'll continue to order take out, from my office for the staff, and order dinner but will never again dine in, with that Server there. Goodness, I used her inappropriate behavior, as an example, for my daughter, how one does not behave. Just sad. We didn't even think, of getting our 2 drinks to go. The Sever, would better be suited, in a Bar or Bowling Alley! The girl at the register was so sweet, brown braided hair, professional and so apologetic. We were thankful for that. She was very aware of the issue, with that server. I did not make a scene, or raise my voice, I was raised better than that. This is Not how, a family restaurant is run.š to the owner/manager this Sever is bad for your business! Fire her, she Horrible, with customers. I love Anthony's food, and staff, but this Server is not a good fit. Guess she don't care, about her tips. She a train wreck! Good help, is surely, hard to find.
