I was so excited to get a BWW in Castle Rock, but this location has been nothing but a disappointment. The majority of the times we go, we leave frustrated. We've given it so many tries, but I think we'd rather drive to a further location. The bar appears so understaffed or just not staffed correctly/efficiently. One time we went, and we weren't even acknowledged for at least a half an hour. I am ok waiting as long as I am acknowledged, but that was not the case. We went last night, and it started off ok, but the manager delivered our food and didn't even ask if we needed anything else (ketchup was needed). Boyfriend's meal was dropped off, nobody asked then either. My boyfriend finally got up and got ketchup for us, twice. I was then given the wrong drink, no check in and although I tried to get the bartenders attention, I was unsuccessful. I also watched a server deliver food to the guest next to me with a celery stick coming out of his mouth, dropped the food and didn't ask the guest if he needed anything (he needed a fork). We then tried to get the attention of our bartender a number of times to get the check. We had points that we wanted to redeem, which I had redeemed on my phone. She pointed to the QR code, told us we could pay there, and basically walked away when I literally had my card laid out for her to take. Whatever, I tried the app, didn't take the points off and she never checked in again. We finally stopped the manager to tell her that it wasn't taking points off, she doesn't even let us know that she's then looking into it, and the bartender finally comes over to handle it the way it should've been handled. So much time here is spent waiting and trying to get the attention of the bartender or manager. I'm just so fed up with this location and we really don't want to go back. It's just not managed well at all and the bartender is always overwhelmed and it makes things really uncomfortable. Either hire more people or allow more appropriate people to work the bar. I hate speaking poorly of anybody, but I do feel like a tip needs...
Read moreSo I figured out why I quit going to BWW years ago. That's because they are essentially a modernized Applebee's, where all food is cooked way in advanced. I see BWW does the same thing. So they cook all the food way in advance. Pretend to take twenty minutes to prepare your food so you get the feel they are back there making it fresh for you. Then you get dried out lukewarm wings, burger patties, bacon, and french fries.
Tonight we went in. Pretty dead I might add, which was a good warning sign. Anyways, we both ordered burgers. Took about 15 to 20 minutes (you know while they pretend to cook food). We get both of our burgers and the fries were dried out, warmish, and similar to beef jerky. So those had clearly been in a warmer close to a hour. Then we bit into our lovely dried out, lukewarm burger patties that also came out of a warmer tray. Which a burger that dried out and formed the warming tray look has clearly been in there for longer than an hour.
When I looked over at another table, it was clear to me they also had precooked food too. You could tell by the way they looked at it. Then I realized why I quit coming here. It's because they make the same mistakes most struggling restaurants do. Cheap out on labor and serve you dried out old food they cooked hours ago. This is why it's a modernized Applebee's. They soon too will be on struggle bus like the other big chains that cook everything way in advance and their customers just got tired of their food.
The sad thing to me is the wings, the burgers and fries actually have great flavor! The food would be pretty darn good if they actually just cooked it fresh. I think more people would come too. I don't come to sit a dining establishment to get lower than drive thru quality food. You know why In and Out and Chick-fil-A is so busy? The food is cooked way fresher than what you're serving. Which is why I saw 10 tables sat on a Saturday night at 6:30pm. I don't want to come back for mediocre dried out food and clearly others...
Read moreI don't mean to be dramatic or anything but, this was the worst meal I have ever had.
Short version: anyone who has ever worked in food can tell that these wings were fried up hours prior and then dropped again when ordered and then sat under a heat lamp for way too long, there is NO service, and it's not clean. Don't waste your time.
I used to go to BWW all the time growing up. It was the best spot for wings. Over the years all of the locations have just gone to trash. I had never been to this one. I figured the one in Castle Rock of all places would be better. I was aggressively wrong. Walked in, no host. I was shouted at from the bar to sit wherever. 15 minutes later my drink order was taken. The server was an older woman with a thick accent and she was great, she did her best to be personable and do her job, she still earned her tip. But the lack of functionality and seating was ridiculous. You have a host and seat people so your servers know to go take someone's order. Now the food..... if there was a boneless chicken equivalent of mass produced cheap mechanically sorted beef jerky.... it would be that. This chicken was clearly made hours prior, left somewhere and then as it was ordered dropped back in the Fryer. They weren't hot. They were Luke warm at best. I literally took one bite that I spat out because I was legitimately worried I would get sick if I ate that. The ONLY reason I even stayed after being there for 15 minutes without even a drink is because my little sister was so excited to go here. But even she didn't like her food. Hers was the same. She got bone in wings and they cam out looking like rubber with some wings covered in dry sauce that we were able to peel off the wing. It wasn't even the right sauce.
To top it all off we cleaned our own table, it was the "cleanest" one available in the seat yourself variety.
Yall have got to get it together. This is a...
