I was having a tough day today, and stumbled upon this adorable coffee shop. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it immediately felt like such a ray of light walking in there. I bought some baked goods and a chai latte, both of which were delicious. I was unaware of the mission of the shop prior to walking in, but I often make an effort to frequent businesses that support an inclusive work environment in our community, so it was very kismet that I discovered the Collective! I would’ve gone far out of my way to visit them anyway, had I known! ❤️ Thank you for such a pleasant experience, I’ll absolutely be back. PS- the carrot cake is heavenly!

Coffee was excellent, and service was great. We were a large group, and Julie allowed us to reserve the upstairs area. It’s always great to be able to support a small business that also serves the community, and this coffee shop is very inspirational in supporting special needs individuals and orphans. Highly recommend this great coffee shop.

So I really wanted to love this place!!! I love the mission and if you are wanting to support the mission, it's a great choice.

However the coffee was terrible. As I watched the staff trainer in disbelief stir my latte after adding the milk. During the frothing process she struggled to teach her mentee how to properly froth the milk. I began to wonder how much experience the trainer had making coffee herself.

On the plus side, the pumpkin bread was outstanding. Oddly enough they put on the shelf with the labels to the back. You have to guess what you are selecting until you actually are standing in line, turn the bread over and notice the label.

They sell various goods to support nonprofits which is also really cool.

However, your entire experience is chaos. I have been in other businesses that support "heroes" and they are not chaos.

The other businesses are like any other business and it creates an environment that is inclusive and builds understanding.

This place fails to accomplish this. It did not allow the "heroes" to put their best foot forward, nor was there an environment of hospitality. It definitely does not have a coffee shop vibe. It was more like an Adult Day Care.

I struggled with how many Stars to give this business because I truly believe in their mission and appreciation what they are trying to do.

But after I spoke with people connected with "special education;" they were saddened by my experience as well. With this in mind, I decided to be honest in hopes of challenging this business to step up their game.

I literally took two drinks of my coffee, walked far enough away to ensure the "heroes" would not see me. Tossed my coffee in the trash and walked down the street to Lost Coffee and ordered something else.

This was my first visit to this place. Perhaps in a month or two I will give them another try to see if they have taken this...

This is one of my favorite places to go! Here's why... The service is absolutely wonderful. Today, I had the pleasure of Chris, Carrie, Amy, Lindsay and Cara making our day! Their positive spirit, high energy, and assistance in helping me in what to drink is greatly appreciated! The food I shared with my wife was delicious including the sausage, potato, egg and cheese breakfast burrito! Not only was it tasty but it had some serious girth as well. My dad was raving about the chocolate chip banana bread. He told me he wasn't going to finish the whole thing (It also has nice size) but he did anyway. He and my wife each enjoyed an oh-so-chocolaty Ghirardelli-fused hot cocoa. Moving on, if you like a cozy atmosphere then this is the place to be. It just FEELS so good to be in this space. I've discovered that being here is like experiencing high-quality mindfulness. You don't need to go to your happy place because you are literally in it when you step through the door. BTW- this place has the cleanest, coziest bathroom I've ever had the pleasure of using. No joke! This sounds weird, but I'm going to say it anyway. I wouldn't have minded having our table set up in the bathroom and enjoyed our time together as a family in there. Told you it was weird. Finally, I have to mention the incredibly diverse, unique amount of products for sale that have been hand-crafted by the incredible organization, World Orphans Market (their mission is phenomenal), as well as Wellspring's very own Star employees creating a variety of quality ceramic goods as well. Don't be surprised if you walk out with a special item or three to keep for yourself or to give as a gift. God bless this amazing place and everyone that walks through its...

The next time you’re thinking about stopping by Starbucks, give this amazing local coffee shop a try first. Delicious coffee with an incredible purpose. I stumbled upon this place mid work day and left blown away by how kind and compassionate the people who work there are. My sister is a special education director at a Christian school and wants to make the trip down to visit and support because the mission behind this collective is so important. 🤍

Thank you for giving people with disabilities the chance to learn the value of hard work and socialization. This shop brightened my day and I will most definitely be stopping by whenever I am in...
