I thought the food was really great but we got the worst table in the restaurant. Sat next to the door when it was snowing outside and by the huge super loud oven. I spent $133 to have pizza by a cold door and a loud oven haha. I thought that going in person would be better because we would get hotter fresher pizza and that part was true but I don't think it's worth that price to sit at the worst table in the restaurant. Apparently you're not allowed to sit on the nice part of the restaurant if you want pizza. IMO they are trying to separate you based on price point because if you're ordering pasta you're going to spend more but I spent $133 for my husband and my daughter and I to eat. That's a little pricey for three people to have pizza and we have to be sat by the outside door and the loud oven it was just too much. I don't know I don't think I'll come back because my experience last night did leave a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. When you're spending over $100 to have pizza for dinner you at least want a decent table where you're not freezing and don't have to plug your ears because of the sound of the oven haha. I don't know it just made me feel like they didn't appreciate me or my business and they don't care if I ever come back so I...

Like some other reviewers, I don’t see how this restaurant gets 5 stars. This place is hailed as a great pizza place and all my coworkers rave about it. I took my family there tonight and other than the warm, attentive service, nothing was spectacular. Honestly, everything we ordered was very bland. The chicken wings were nice because they had a crunchy breading and the texture was great but the flavor was very meh. Each slice of pizza we had, from green chili to buffalo chicken to the pizza with vodka sauce was so bland. I mean, green chili. There’s ample opportunity for tons of flavor there and it was just missing. The grilled chicken I had added was almost nonexistent. I can’t believe the reviews saying it’s the best pizza place in Castle Rock. Have you even tried Granelli’s?? Even under new ownership, it puts Sliceworks to shame. No flavor, no variance in texture and the bottom of the slices were almost charred. The garlic knots were also a miss. To echo another reviewer, they just brush on some garlic butter and the bread itself isn’t that soft or gooey. On the plus side, the place is cute. It’s clean enough and our server Jessica was quite nice and very responsive. Overall, our food experience was massively...

I'm honestly not sure why this place is rated so high as the food wasn't that good.

Although I did like that you can buy individual garlic knots at 0.75 cents each, they aren't that great. The garlic sauce itself isn't bad, but you can tell they just paint it on with a brush and the parts of the knot that didn't have any didn't taste like anything and was a little tough. Good knots are soft and fluffy, but this one didn't deliver. The marinara sauce that came with this and the stuffed slice didn't have much kick to it; rather, it had a very generic taste. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just prepackaged sauce considering how small the kitchen area is.

The stuffed slice wasn't terrible, but not very memorable either. Nothing about this slice stood out at all.

The Sicilian slice was the weakest Sicilian pizza I've ever had. It was super thin for a Sicilian pizza and parts of it were collapsing where I put my fingers underneath to stabilize it because it came out super doughy.

The regular slice was the best thing I had, but even that wasn't very impressive. The crust was harder than I liked. The strongest aspect of every pizza was the cheese, but overall it can't save the pizza. I would not recommend this...

Awesome Pizza! Fantastic food. They really have it figured out. Crust was delicious and thin (East Coast style). The two best bites were the stuffed meat slice and the jalapeno popper slice. The stuffy had tons of thin sliced pepperoni, sausage, meatball and ham between super thin crusts sprinkled with sesame seeds. The jalapeno popper was good and spicy which was tempered by the GRAPE JELLY! I know it seems odd. My wife was really unsure, almost not wanting to try it. But even she admitted, the jelly works and is a really nice sweet balance to the spicy jalapenos. All their pies can be had by the slice, with a couple exceptions. If you get a whole pizza, it's huge 16-18" by my guess. Garlic knots are full of fresh garlic (that's the point right?) Tomato Basil soup was creamy and delicious. Their take on Italian Wedding soup was good also, with Tortellini served "Stracciatella" style with whisked egg and some cheese. Overall fantastic food, we had a great meal.
